AR Quest this past Monday evening. We shot at 50 and 100 yards. Prone and prone rapid. Everyone did great. Next month I think we’ll start at all 100yd. But don’t worry, if you’re just starting we can accommodate any skill level and will have 25 and 50 yard positions available. The important thing is for everyone to be safe and have fun!

Work day at the range today. We had over a dozen folks come out to help. Special thanks to Dick Cook who always is ready to replace the plywood on the Recreational range, and to Indiana State Senator and SJV Board member Blake Doriot for bringing out his awesome Kubota tractor.

Thanks to our new kitchen committee chairwoman Carol Qualls who is straightening out our kitchen facility in anticipation of us getting a permit to sell food at club events!!!

Again thanks to everyone for coming out, especially given the weather and it being Easter weekend. The club really appreciates your efforts.

We had our first AR Quest night last evening. Weather was a little iffy, but we were able to shoot and have a good time. Next one is May 4th at 6:00pm, come out and give it a try. Although our focus is on the AR, any rifle will work.

Some pics from this weekend’s scout shoot. We had 17 scouts shooting .22 rifles at 50 yds in the morning and trap in the afternoon. I think everyone had a great time. Then the troop camped out overnight in our RV/camping area. The weather fully cooperated, it was a fantastic day for the shoot.

We’re going to be doing a series of rifle events this spring. Hoping to see some of our club youth members come out and give it a try! Keep an eye out on our calendar at sjvrpa.wildapricot.org

We kicked off our first Trap Shoot today, and it was a great success! We had a steady flow of shooters, plenty of good conversations, and a beautiful day to enjoy it all. Most folks shot a few rounds, relaxed, and caught up with friends. Join us every Monday and Friday from 2:00 PM until dark (weather permitting) for more fun on the range!
