We are a non-profit organization with a 20 member organizational committee that works year-round to Hearty food for hungry folks. in the Ballroom (CM Building).

Full 3 Day Event – STARTS FRIDAY 1/28/22 at 9am

The Midwest Ride-In is the world's biggest family-friendly vintage snowmobile get together. Our Organizational Committee is working hard to hold our end-of-January event. Held annually at the Elk River Motor Park (ERX) in Elk River Minnesota. It’s a snowmobile ride on beautiful Minnesota trails, the world’s largest show of old sleds, trail ride, judged show, youth races, vintage snowmobile racing. The ELK LAKE EASY RIDERS club will serve up thousands of grilled pork chops and burgers. Come celebrate winter with some of the finest folks in the world on the last weekend in January. THURSDAY EARLY SWAP DROP ONLY – MUST HAVE PRE-PURCHASED ADMISSION AND SWAP:
>>Trailer drop off. Enter grounds (with admission) and park your trailer from 1:00 -6 p.m.. Vendors may set up on Thursday afternoon as well. FRIDAY EVENTS:

>>Swap Meet - One of the world’s biggest vintage snowmobile swap meets. Come check out tons of vendors and individuals from all over the U.S. and Canada with parts, sleds, memorabilia and more for sale.
>>Ice Breaker Party. This popular Friday night get-together is 7:00 -10:00 p.m. in the Ballroom. Special guests. Cash bar. Elk Lake Easy Riders will have food for sale. SATURDAY EVENTS:
>>Swap Meet
>>Vintage riding: Take your old sled out of moth balls and bring it down for a trail ride with 800+ of your old-sled friends. The biggest vintage ride anywhere. NO Minnesota trail permit required for this vintage ride. Starts at 11:00 am. Staging for the ride is at the truck track.
>>Kid’s PRO ICE racing on ice pond all day.
>>Classic-only trail ride. This is for 1986-2000 sleds. Starts at 2:00 pm.
>>Autograph Session: noon – 1:00 p.m. inside Ballroom. Bring your featured brand memorabilia (limit 3 items) to have legends and VIP’s autograph. Special event posters available to purchase.
>>One Lunger Racing – 3:00 pm on the snocross track
>>Saturday night banquet with special featured theme dignitaries, a live auction and a great dinner. Banquet attendance is by RSVP only, purchase your tickets at www.mwvss.com. See registration page for ticket information. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Dinner at 6:30 pm. SUNDAY EVENTS:

Who has heard of BOA SKI?

This Quebec, Canada brand was manufactured from 1968 to 1977. It was a popular brand in Canada and also had USA distribution.

Have you ever seen a BOA SKI?

Remember the mini-sleds of the early 1970s?

Snowmobile sales were booming, and the major manufacturers wanted to create new market segments. The idea of mini-sleds was that parents would buy an additional sled for the kids. Or, perhaps a “Mom” sled that was easy to maneuver on the trails. Well, many main-line manufacturers added a mini-model to their sales lineup. However, there were small manufacturers that produced only one model ---- and it was a mini-sled.

Here is a Canadian-built POCKET ROCKET.
In 1972, they were produced in Quebec, Canada. Their advertising showed a picture of one being transported in the trunk of a 4-door sedan automobile. It was only 60 " long and 30” wide and 28” high.

What about Canadian race sleds at the Midwest Ride-In?
DEFINITELY YES...

This is a race=only brand from the first year of SNO-PRO oval track racing in the 1973-74 winter.

The factories wanted to show off their best, as a way to promote their 2-stroke motors. Kohler Canada fielded this white hood racer with 2 and 3-cylinder Kohler engines. Look closely, and you will see strong similarities to the Boa Ski BAR racer

Display of Orphan sleds of CANADA at the Princeton show/swap/race this weekend.

This is to remind everyone of our end of January 2027 MIDWEST RIDE-IN show in Dayton, Minnesota. Our feature is Canadian orphan brands. We have identified 53 former Canadian brands to honor at the Ride-In.

The real victims handed over $ 14.25 million to a hollow promise. It happens. Think of Bernie Madoff and his Ponzi scheme.

Here is today's press release. Sentencing to follow, but it includes the green light to auction these high-end sleds.

As soon as the first auction date is set, I will post an extensive overview of the process, so that everyone is on the same page. There will be 4 days in the online auction for personal inspection at the Wausau location.
