Rounds 7 & 8 Race Recap – Elk River, MN
The weekend kicked off with make-up round 4 for Rylee and Coen. Rylee finished 8th, and Coen worked his way up to a solid 6th-place finish.

Round 7
Carter was off to a strong start, leading the pack and looking fast. Unfortunately, he had his worst crash to date—rolling multiple times and getting hit. The impact caused major front-end damage and ended his race early. He was one of four drivers to crash in the same spot throughout the race. We’re incredibly thankful all drivers walked away okay and so grateful to the amazing racing families who checked in on Carter afterward. Rylee showed great speed but got tangled with another driver in a corner, which led to her losing a tire and ending her day. Coen pushed hard and finished 7th, making some great passes and showing off his speed.

Round 8
Carter approached the whoops section with some caution at first but quickly found his rhythm—clearing them cleanly and finishing strong in 5th! Rylee came back determined, battled hard, and landed on the podium with a 3rd-place finish! Coen stayed consistent and competitive, bringing home 6th after a solid race.

Round 3 Recap
Carter had a solid run, driving smart and giving great feedback to his dad about some needed truck adjustments. He avoided a major crash that took out several drivers and crossed the finish line in 5th place. Rylee had a strong start, but a few tough situations opened the door for others to slip by. She battled through it and finished in 8th. Coen was flying—holding strong in the top 3—until he hit a rut and flipped. Unfortunately, the crash broke his chain, which ended his race early.

Round 4 Recap
Rain made for a wild day on the track! Carter’s truck ran into a wiring issue and wasn’t able to make the start. So many mod karts had to pull off or were smoking—huge kudos to the racers who managed to finish! Due to the rain and track conditions, Rylee and Coen’s races were postponed to a later weekend.

Plenty of late nights in the shop ahead as we work to make these three better than ever! Crandon is right around the corner, and we’ll be ready.

Carter #224 - Mod Kart Round 3

There will be a new champion crowned in the Short Course Karts class for the 2025 season! Last year’s champ, Wesley Vande Voort, has moved up to the Mod Kart class, leaving the door wide open.

Veteran racer Gabe Holtger made a strong statement in Wheatland with a 1st and 2nd place finish, putting him at the top of the points standings. But the competition is heating up. Right behind him is Caden Wassenberg, currently 2nd in points after grabbing two solid 3rd place finishes in Wheatland. Rylee Zahara also had a standout weekend, taking the Round 2 win and a spot on the podium.

Rounding out the top five in points are Jarrett Meulemans and Roman Tullberg as we head into Antigo.

Will Holtger hold on to his lead, or will someone else rise to the top? We can’t wait to watch these young drivers battle it out on the track this weekend!
