📐🚀 We had a great 1-on-1 hitting session with TJ Mosley of the 17U Dynamite Baseball Club and Davenport Central High School this morning working on ANGLES 📐 and pre-swing positioning/posture.

Pre-swing angles, pre-swing moves, and pre-swing posture/positioning do not get worked on nearly enough in baseball/softball hitting.

✅ Setting the swing up for success by starting the swing from a good position will often make or break a hitter’s swing. The physics have to make sense. If we start our swing from an already compromised position that do not allow for the swing to have the physics, bodily movement, and mechanics that we need, why would we only work on ‘swing-stuff?’

If we start a 100 meter dash standing straight up, we will have a lesser chance of succeeding.

➡️➡️ Cause and effect. If we want the second-half to be set up for success (swing), we need to have a successful first-half (pre-swing/load/launch position).

If we don’t have purpose and intent with what we are doing before the swing to help set the swing up for success, then we will be fighting an extremely uphill battle as a hitter.

TJ did a great job working through some positioning and angle changes this morning and was able to apply them very quickly.

TJ will be the first to tell you that he loved the changes and now knows how his body has to move to be able to get into better positioning.

The first picture is the ‘after,’ and the second picture is ‘before.’
