Congratulations to Allan on this award! Allan is a coach on our 14U Mayhem team. He does a tremendous job with our club as well.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
The winner of the 2026 Paul Tremmel Award is LBC's very own Allan Vatnsdal, our LBC Board Member and Slugfest Tournament Coordinator.
Allan, we congratulate and thank you for your years of dedicated volunteerism and leadership to NS Youth Baseball.
Due to various schedule conflicts we did not hand this award out at our first home game of the season as we would usually do. Instead, Allan will receive this award next Thursday (a week from today) between our JV and V home games against NE Goose Lake unless something else pops up warranting an adjustment. He will also throw out the first pitch that night. Pressure is on!
This year's award nomination process was very competitive. This is great sign of what is coming up the pipe for NS Baseball as many quality people have been devoting a lot of valuable time and energy into this community's baseball program for the benefit of the kids.
As for the nominees, there were multiple qualified individuals in the running w/ adequate vote totals, but the votes came in without need of a recount. We are just glad that it wasn't a tie, because the tiebreaker was a hot dog eating contest and immediate forehead-to-bat spin and sprint race that may not have ended well.
Again, Allan, congratulations and on behalf of NS Baseball, a sincere thank you!!
