💙☀️THANK YOU☀️💙
After nearly 20 years at the Eldon Aquatic Center, it’s time for me to step away from a place that has been such a big part of my life. My husband and I want to focus on our two young kids & a new property we’re currently remodeling into our forever home about an hour away from my hometown of Eldon.
I started here as a lifeguard, never imagining that one day I would have the opportunity to manage the facility that helped shape so much of who I am. Over the years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to learn from wonderful mentors, work alongside some truly great lifeguards and staff members, and get to know generations of families who have spent their summers with us.
When you spend nearly two decades somewhere, it becomes so much more than a job. I’ve watched little swimmers grow into lifeguards. I’ve seen families return summer after summer. I’ve taught lessons, coached swimmers, planned events, weathered storms, solved more pool problems than I could ever count, and made memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.
To the mentors who taught me, the staff members who worked beside me, and every lifeguard who gave up part of their summer to help keep our patrons safe—thank you. You each played a part in making the Aquatic Center what it is.
And to our patrons: thank you for trusting us with your families, supporting our programs, showing up for our events, and making the Eldon Aquatic Center such a special place. It has been a privilege to serve you.
I’m proud of how much the Aquatic Center has grown over the years, but even more proud of the people and relationships behind it. There are countless memories tied to that pool, and I’ll carry them with me long after my last summer there.
Nearly 20 years is a pretty good run. It’s been an honor.💙
