Me and captain have spent a few days the last 2 weeks getting a little work done clearing log jams and trying to make this low water as floatable as possible. Yall it’s LOW! Right now it’s over a foot in the negative on this Elba gauge. It’s a portage at most of the shoals and there is still a few trees on Whitewater creek I gotta cut. We are open as usual just be prepared for a long day! If ur are a low water enthusiast who don’t mind the extra walking come on! Right now the water is clear, the fish, turtles, snakes, and other river creatures are there to be admired! Maybe we will get some rain soon!

Attention paddle racers!!!

Our 2027 Race dates are set!!! We will have events posted soon! Here’s the dates so yall can get them on the calendar!

March 6th 2027
30 miles Hwy 231- Elba!
With extremely low waters mid summer we decided to start the year off w this one to hopefully catch a little better levels! Either way u can run surf ski, recreation, or paddle board! This race is solos only!

The Pea River Lower 63
April 10th 2027
63 miles Elba to Geneva
Finish in under 12 hours to qualify for the Great ALABAMA 650!
We have hosted this different times in April and the 2nd weekend seems to work out best!

We will be back open this weekend! It’s been a heck of a week w Amanda’s mama in the hospital all week. She is having complications from chemo and radiation treatments. She’s home now but still not doing great so yall bare w us if we have close again for a few days.

I didn’t get to get in Big Creek or Pea River and clear what I was wanting to clear. Hopefully in the next week or so I’ll be able to get it all done!

Water is low and clear! It’s beautiful at these low levels but there will be a little more getting out and walking in shallow water or portaging around channel blockages. Be prepared for it to take a little longer than normal.

Yall come try these new boats out! See yall this weekend!!

We are booked up on August 29th! We have a big group coming that will probably take all our kayaks and canoes! We can probably still work in shuttles after we get the group in but that’s it! Thank
