The Pea River Punisher is next weekend June 20!!! This is a 30 mile running start solo race from Veterans Memorial Bridge (Hwy 231) back to Elba! There is a $50 entry fee! We will meet at the start line at 8:am! It’s not too late to enter! U can show up that morning ready to race! Cactus Laser Engraving will be at the finish line if u need to order a shirt they will be $25+ shipping! There will be food and live music by MOJO HAND after the race!!! Hope to see yall there!!!

We get ask all the time about Alligators in Pea River. So here’s a few screenshots from a quick google search! There has been 5 alligator attacks on humans ever recorded in Alabama. None were fatal! 4 out of 5 were in the South West part of the state. 1 was in the Conecuh national forest where people had been feeding the gator. 8-10 nation wide w 70% of those being in Florida and maybe 1 being fatal. Bees kill more people a year nationwide than Alligators. I encourage u to do a little research on ur own but snakes and gators are to be respected from a safe distance not feared! Gators are actually scared of you and do not wanna eat u! They are more likely to go after a pet than a human but if ur pet is close to u the gator probably won’t take the risk bc its scare of you! There is always a possibility but highly unlikely! Be smart on the water give them their space and you and the gators can enjoy the river together!!!
