Another week of the WAVE challenge complete means we have another player spotlight. This week, Katie Briggs Marchbanks is our player spotlight. Not only does KB complete all her workouts with 100% effort and a positive attitude during weightlifting class, but she even comes to additional workouts to put in extra work and encourage her teammates. She always goes the extra mile with everything she does. KB brings so much joy to the team, and we are blessed to have her as a leader and role model on the team. Keep it up, KB!💪🏻💚

This week’s player spotlight goes to Addy Kriner! Addy got nominated to be an EHS Ambassador for this school year. You can find her around school giving tours to new students or in the weight room working out and encouraging her teammates. She sets a great example on and off the field of what we expect of our student-athletes. Way to go, Addy!💚

This week’s player spotlight goes to freshman Maya Sutherland. Maya is also a varsity cheerleader and a part of student council. Maya’s good character goes beyond the walls of the school and athletics, as she spends her free time serving on the media team for her church. Serving the community is one of the great qualities that we look for in our Lady Green Wave. Not only was Maya a great model of being visible in the community, but she also had the most points this week across the board for our wave challenge. Way to go, Maya! With starting the “WAVE” challenge for our softball girls, we will have a weekly shoutout for a player who has excelled in and outside of the classroom. This consists of having a strong work ethic in the classroom, being attentive to their responsibilities, serving in the community, taking pride in their education, and several other qualities of dedicated student-athlete. This week’s player shoutout goes to sophomore Bella Newman. Bella has started the semester off strong by getting all her work done in her classes, helping her peers in the classroom, and being engaged and interactive during group discussions. Way to go, Bella!
