We are so excited to introduce our 2025 assistant softball coaching staff!
JV HEAD COACH - KYRA MCCARSON
Coach Kyra is an Easley Green Wave Alumni and she is returning for her 2nd year of coaching for the Green Wave. She played softball for the Green Wave during her 6 years of eligibility and received multiple high honors including All-Region her junior and senior seasons. She went on to play college softball at Columbia College where she is working on earning her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Her communication skills and collaborative approach ensures that everyone is well-informed and working together towards shared goals. We are excited about the wealth of softball knowledge that Coach Kyra will continue to bring to our JV program and how she is going to move our JV program in a positive direction.
VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH - ADAM MCGEE
Coach Adam has served over 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. During that time he honed his leadership, strategic thinking, and teamwork skills in some of the most challenging environments. Throughout his military career, Adam demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and discipline, earning numerous accolades for his outstanding performance and leadership. His experiences in the Marines have instilled in him a strong sense of duty, resilience, and a deep understanding of the value of teamwork and camaraderie.
Transitioning from military service to the field of softball coaching, Adam has coached at the 12U, 14U, and 16U levels in travel softball while living in Arizona and S.C.. He brings a wealth of experience in mentoring, training, and motivating individuals to reach their highest potential. His approach to coaching is rooted in the principles of discipline, hard work, and perseverance, which he imparts to his athletes with enthusiasm, firmness, fairness, and dedication.
As a coach, Adam is not only focused on winning games but also on developing well-rounded athletes who excel both on and off the field. His leadership style emphasizes respect, integrity, and continuous improvement, making him a valuable asset to the Easley Softball program. Welcome to the team, Coach Adam!
JV ASSISTANT COACH - KARSYN VANDEVENTER
Coach Karsyn is an Easley Green Wave Alumni. She played softball for the Green Wave and graduated in 2020. After graduation, Karsyn got right into coaching for the Easley Green Wave and has been coaching ever since. With her many years of coaching experience, Karsyn brings a wealth of experience and deep understanding of the game. Her commitment to Easley High School and the game of softball has made a lasting impact on both her players and the softball program.
Coach Karsyn is a dedicated and hard working coach. She leads by example on and off the field. Her ability to connect with players and build rapport is a testament to her natural talent and genuine dedication. We are so excited to have her on staff for another season to teach these young ladies how to play the game, how to continue to love the game and have fun.
VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH - TERRY PATTERSON
Coach Patterson is returning for his 2nd year on the softball coaching staff for the Lady Green Wave. He is a Liberty High School graduate where he was an outstanding basketball athlete. He went on to play basketball at USC Upstate after high school. Coach Patterson is a PE teacher at Easley High School and is currently coaching JV Boys Basketball. Coach Patterson is a great encourager on and off the field and always lifts the girls up to do their best in every situation. We are so excited to have Coach Patterson back with us for another year and to continue building up these young ladies into confident student-athletes.
JV ASSISTANT COACH - AMBER ELMORE
Coach Amber is a first year teacher at Getty's middle school where she is also coaching volleyball. She is a great role model for these girls to have in the school and I know she is going to do amazing things during her first year of teaching and coaching for the Green Wave. We are so excited for Amber to bring her wealth of knowledge from Clemson and spread her love for the game to the younger generation. Welcome to the team, Amber!
