Another successful event in Valdez! The 2026 Valdez Fish Derbies Women’s Silver Salmon Derby was marked with big fish, great weather, costume contests, prizes, and lots of laughs with best friends. Lady luck stuck with Tiffany Wells of Valdez in 1st place with a 14.98-pound silver, a real whopper. 2nd and 3rd place was also had by locals in this year’s derby. 2026 theme was TaTa’s, TuTu’s, and Xtratufs for breast cancer awareness. As usual we are immensely grateful to the amazing volunteers and sponsors of these events. There’s still time to get down there, ticket up and dethrone the reigning overall silver derby and halibut derby leaders! Thank you Valdez Fish Derbies! Until next time!
