Schroeder Park is ready for Pickleball! Go to parks and rec, 12001 Business Boulevard, Suite123 (behind Garcia's, in the same building as the Alaska Club). Down the hall from the Library. Fill out the form they have, they will give you the key code, to the gate lock. Be sure to lock the gate when you leave!

Hello Eagle River Alaska! . Lions Park racket courts are open! Thanks to Robert, Frances, Mindy and others who went over yesterday and cleaned them up! All that was stated is accurate. The tennis team removed the tape on my request. The paint for the lines is in process to get to AK from Atlanta. Could use some help to pressure wash the courts once we get water, long hoses, and a rainy day. The practice wall is completed.
Attitude of gratitude to all of you and many others of our community who made this happen! Enjoy your racquet play and fellowship.

***PLEASE READ***
I just heard from our POC at Lions Park.

The added tape that is on the courts currently will be removed from the courts.

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE ANYMORE TAPE ON THE COURTS!

ALSO: As past years the Eagle River High School tennis team will be using the courts for practice. THIS STARTED AUG. 1. I do not have the exact hours as of this posting, so we will go with 3PM - 6:30 PM Mon- Fri. This means it will not be open to Pickleball during those hours. There could be days that it runs over those times. Sorry for the short notice.

Other info. Lions Club has ordered yellow paint to repaint the PB lines. This pending paint delivery, cleaning courts, taping lines and weather. Thank you!

Hello all,
I received a message from a Lions park representative about the 4th of July holiday.
The Racket Courts will be closed (locked) all day on the 3rd of July. Not a 100% sure on the opening time but possibly open on the fourth around 11 o’clock. This time could change.
This is a regular occurrence every year because of the fireworks set up and to prep for there 4th of July Eve festivities.
Everyone have a fun and safe 4th of July holiday!

Hello all, I just got a call from Ken McCarty (Lions Park). Starting Monday the High School Tennis Team will be using the courts Monday-Friday 4:30-6:30. Some days until 7:30. The tennis team will have priority on the courts during these hours. Thank you!

The PAW-SITIVE PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT IN EAGLE RIVER ( first pickleball during the Bear Paw Festival) tourney was a huge success!!! Filled with competive players, laughter and love. I would like to express my big thanks to all the volunteers from Eagle River, Anchorage and Chugiak for staying with me and being patient considering this tournament was planned less than a month.
I am so proud of all the players! !! All players played at least a minimum of 11 games each day . 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💕🙌. except my Juniors hehe! YOU ARE ALL ROCKSTARS!!!

Thank you Glacial Water, Jason Woodward for donating bottled water for 2 days!
And also JC Murray for donating PADDLETEK paddles.
