The Carolina Flyers Youth Academy hits the field tomorrow, and there’s still time to get your young ultimate player signed up!

This is their chance to learn the skills, build confidence, and develop the game knowledge they need to become a better ultimate player — all while learning from experienced coaches and Carolina Flyers pros.

Whether they’re brand new to ultimate or already love the game, all abilities are welcome!

MEET COACH NOAH KRUMME

The Carolina Flyers Youth Academy is excited to welcome Noah Krumme back for his second year on the Academy coaching staff!

Noah started playing ultimate in 2014 and went on to play at Ohio State University and UNC. Since 2021, he’s built an impressive coaching resume, working with youth programs in Cincinnati and the Triangle, including Duke Brimstone, Carolina Sky, Jordan High School, and the Carolina Flyers.

For Noah, coaching is about more than becoming a better ultimate player. He believes in helping young athletes find joy in the game while developing an intentional competitive mindset — all while becoming more empathetic, caring people along the way.

We’re thrilled to have Noah back helping develop the next generation of Carolina ultimate!

When you join the Carolina Flyers Youth Academy, you’re not just learning the game — you’re learning from some of the best to ever do it.

Terrence Mitchell is a Carolina Flyers legacy player, but his impact on the next generation goes far beyond his playing career. Terrence has spent countless hours coaching young athletes through the Carolina Flyers Youth Academy and Carolina Ultimate Flight School, helping players develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

Now, this fall, Youth Academy players get the incredible opportunity to learn from Ultimate Royalty.

The Carolina Flyers Youth Academy is lucky to have Matt Tucker on the coaching team this fall!

A professional player for the Carolina Flyers, Matt is bringing his experience, knowledge, and love of the game to the field to help the next generation of ultimate players grow.

But it’s not just what Matt knows about the game that makes him a great coach — his even-tempered, thoughtful coaching style creates an environment where young players can learn, ask questions, build confidence, and have fun.

From fundamentals to game strategy, Matt will help Academy players understand the game and develop the skills they need to take their ultimate to the next level.

We’re pretty lucky to have a coach like Matt helping lead the way.

The Carolina Flyers Youth Academy is open to players of all abilities! Whether your player is brand new to ultimate or already loves the game, the Academy is a great place to build skills, confidence, and a deeper love for the sport.

And who better to learn from than the pros? Academy participants will get the opportunity to learn from Carolina Flyers professional players Terrence Mitchell, Matt Tucker, and Flyers Assistant Coach Noah Krummie, along with other experienced coaches.

FALL IS YOUR TIME TO FLY!

The Carolina Flyers Youth Academy is back for the Fall Session, and registration is officially OPEN!

Give your young Ultimate player the opportunity to sharpen their skills, build confidence, compete with other players, and learn from experienced coaches in the Carolina Flyers development program.

The Fall Session includes 8 Saturday sessions running from September through October.

Whether they're new to the sport or looking to take their game to the next level, this is where the next generation of Flyers starts.
