Durango Protection Services is looking for security professionals for the Labor Day 4 Corners Motorcycle Rally being held at the fairgrounds in Durango, Colorado.

The detail will begin Thursday afternoon August 31st and go until Monday morning September 4th. There will be overnight security work available as well.

I have been thinking about what lessons I learned from the time I spent teaching and this is a little glimpse of what is in my head.

The dojo and studio is a reflection of our lives challenges, trials, and triumphs! As a student you have trained for battle. You have experienced the feeling of being overwhelmed. The shortness of breath, the tension, and tunnel vision.

Remember how we talk about, how "what we do on the mat prepares us for real life"? Today you have a choice. You can breathe and move forward or you can cower and give into panic.

Get your guard up(meaning be positive and grateful) and keep your eyes open! Use your influence to be a leader. Show compassion to others and make today a victory over self rather than giving into less. RISE up and be your best self today!

I found what was missing.

The last few months something has been off with me, my Chi has been messed up.
I didn’t know what was causing it.
I have improved my eating habits, been drinking alot of water , been exercising and I have been even getting pretty good sleep.

Then it hit me, I haven’t been doing as many Kenpo workouts as I use to. As a matter of fact, it was really down to only once or twice every 2 weeks.

I got so busy working both jobs and all the other stuff, I neglected the one thing that has kept me center for most of my life , my KENPO .

I went from teaching almost every day down to the bare minimum of actually doing any Kenpo.

I started to focus on Kenpo again the last few weeks and guess what,
I ‘am definitely feeling like my old self.

If someone asked me if I’m back in the Kenpo world I would tell them “ Ya, I think I’m back!”
