You will not find rows of traditional gym equipment at CrossFit Durango. Any isolated movement, such as a one-arm bicep preacher curl, will not be allowed. If the movement is not a compilation of muscles and bone moving to the mind’s rhythm, we don’t implement it. CrossFit Durango strongly believes in constantly varied functional movements performed at the highest intensity. To accomplish this, yo

u will find pull-up bars, rowing machines, gymnastic rings, kettle bells, Olympic bumper plates and a very committed team of coaches and group of members. We focus on effective functional fitness using CrossFit as a foundation. It is every bit a sport as it is an extraordinarily effective training system. This means that you, as a client, will never be bored, will work hard for your fitness goals, and will see the results you desire. You will never have to wonder what you are going to do when you walk into “the gym”; rather we will have designed the workout, warm-up and skills development for you, and will coach you through every aspect of the workout in a supportive group environment…much like a team sport. CrossFit Durango members are seen rowing and running various distances, performing gymnastic movements, swinging kettle bells, doing pull-ups, push-ups, and educating themselves on how to move and eat for optimal health. Our programming is designed to improve your work capacity across the ten domains of fitness recognized by experts worldwide: cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. We do CrossFit because we believe that rigorous physical exercise builds character, community and a higher quality of life. We seek to give back to the world - allowing others to share the passion, self-respect and confident living that accompany elite fitness, mental toughness, confident self awareness, and a positive mind-set.

JUNE CHALLENGE STARTS TODAY ☀️

This month is simple:

🚶 1 point for every 2,000 steps
OR
🏃 1 point for every 1 mile walked or run
OR
💪 1 point for every 2 strict pull-ups

Walking and running can happen anywhere.

Pull-ups must be completed inside CFD.

How to join:
• Find the June Challenge whiteboard
• Write your name down
• Add a notch for every point you earn

A few reminders:
✔️ Running during workouts counts
✔️ Strict pull-up variations allowed (choose something appropriately challenging for you)
❌ No cardio machine substitutions
❌ No ring row substitutions
✔️ Full range of motion required

Top male and female at the end of June earn their spot on the 2026 Challenge Leaderboard.

Half kneeling single arm landmine press today.

One of my favorite ways to build shoulder strength, trunk stability, and better overhead positioning all at once. The half kneeling position forces you to stay honest through the core while the landmine path keeps the shoulder moving naturally and powerfully.

Simple movement. Big payoff.
