⛳🍁 One Last Weekend of Golf at Rolling Greens!

Well, we're getting down to the final days of the 2026 golf season!

We originally planned on Saturday being our last day, but Sunday is looking pretty decent, so we figured we'd give everyone one more day to get out and enjoy some golf!

Sunday, November 1 will officially be our last day of golf for the 2026 season!

❄️ A quick heads-up for Friday morning!

We're expecting frost overnight, so we'll be getting a later start tomorrow.

Clubhouse opens at 9:30 AM.
First tee time at 10:00 AM.

That should give the frost time to melt off and our mowing and setup crew a chance to get ahead of play.

It's been a heck of a season, and we're not quite ready to call it quits just yet! 😃

With our season winding down, Herman and I decided to sneak away for a little Monday golf!

Many of you probably don't know this, but I grew up in Central Wisconsin and still have a lot of family and friends in the area. So today we headed back to our old stomping grounds and met up with some old friends for a round at Northern Bay Resort.

I've played Northern Bay quite a few times over the years, and they always treat us well. It's a beautiful course, and we had a great time!

One of the neat things about Northern Bay is that seven of their holes are replicas of famous holes from courses like Augusta National, TPC Sawgrass, Firestone, Oakmont, Oakland Hills, and Bay Hill. Pretty cool getting to play some of those famous layouts without leaving Wisconsin!

Of course, there's the famous island green at TPC Sawgrass.

We don't need to talk about how that went. 😂

It was nice to get away for a few hours, catch up with some old friends, and actually play a little golf for a change. Funny how you can own a golf course and hardly ever find time to play!

We've had a lot of great gatherings at The Overlook this year, and we're looking forward to hosting many more!

They supplied the awesome ribeyes for dinner, brought a team to this year's Battle of the Businesses, and even sponsored the first round of drinks after trivia!

What a beautiful morning at Rolling Greens! ☀️⛳

We started off a little chilly, but the fog rolling through the course made for some pretty incredible scenery this morning!

And for those of you who haven't put your clubs away yet, you're in for a treat this week! Sunshine and temperatures in the 70s! Get out and enjoy it while you can, because we all know it won't last! 😃

Bauer Built sponsored the steak dinner and brought TWO teams to this year's Battle of the Businesses!

They've been part of this event since the beginning, and we can't say enough about how much their support means to us.

Even with the rain keeping us off the course, they helped make it a great night!

We've got some pretty talented people in the Rolling Greens community, and Robert Wood is certainly one of them!

Robert does some top-notch work! I personally own one of his knives, and so do my brother, brothers-in-law, and uncles. 😃

Well... that wasn't exactly the Battle of the Businesses we had planned. 😂

The rain took golf off the table yesterday, so with everything already ordered and a bunch of businesses still planning on coming, we moved the Battle inside and figured we'd see what happened.

And you know what? We made it work!

We went three rounds of trivia covering Durand and Pepin County history, local sports, and our local businesses. After all three rounds, Komro Sales and Ntec were tied for first. So naturally, we decided the 2026 Battle of the Businesses Championship with a shake of the dice. 😂

Komro Sales came out on top and are officially your 2026 Battle of the Businesses Champions! 🏆

A huge thank you to every business that still came out. Obviously, everybody signed up expecting to spend the afternoon golfing, not sitting inside playing trivia. We really appreciate everybody rolling with it, having some fun, and helping us make the best of a crappy weather day.

It sucks that we lost the golf portion of this event. There's no getting around that. But the real reason we started Battle of the Businesses was to get local businesses together for some friendly competition, some laughs, a little collaboration, a good meal and a few drinks. We still got to do all of that.

Thank you to Bauer Built Tire & Service for sponsoring the ribeye dinner and The Durand Smokehouse LLC. for making sure everyone had a drink on them.

Also, a big thank you to Mayor Patrick Milliren for taking over the microphone and running the trivia, and Nathan Sinz for helping with the scoring and keeping us organized throughout the event. That was a huge help with everything we were trying to figure out on the fly!

It wasn't the Battle we planned, but it turned into a pretty fun night anyway.

And of course, the Brewers ending the night with a win and punching their ticket to the World Series was a pretty nice touch to the evening! 🍻⚾

And while we're at it, we're not waiting around to plan the next one...

🥶 Course & Clubhouse Update!

It's just a plain crummy day out there! 50 degrees, blustery, and not exactly ideal golfing weather.

We're going to call it an early day. The clubhouse and The Overlook will be closing at 3:30 PM today.

Members are welcome to brave the cold, and anyone else who feels the need to golf can use the pay box. But you're crazy! 😂

❄️ Looking ahead to Saturday morning:
