Life is what you are looking for a lot of the time. If you spend your time looking for things to be upset about you will definitely find them. Try to look past the bad when you can there may be an opportunity there could easily be missed. Look for the good and you just might find it!

As a running store that is still a little under 5 years old we don't have a ton of old, long lasting traditions. But, we do have one that we have really enjoyed. That is our annual trip to Kinston in mid October for the running of the Mother Earth Brewing Ironclad Half-Marathon & 5-K. This will be our 4th year taking a group to be a part of this great race and event. If you have done it before you know how awesome it is. If you haven't this is definitely the year to join the Out & Back Racing Team and be a part of this great event. The race is on Saturday October 17th.

Consistency over perfection. I forgot to post my video yesterday. So even though running and hiking help me problem solve and see things in new ways it doesn't seem to impact my short term memory in any measurable way!!

Tomorrow night is the last Thursday of the month!! That means come out put on a bib and run a free timed 5k. The course is open so you have to watch for traffic but that doesn't make it any less fun. We have a great weekly crowd and would love for you to join us this week. 6:30 at Out & Back Running.

The way we frame things in our minds can determine whether or not we count something as a win or a loss. It isn't always about how it feels in the moment. Sometimes reflection can help us understand that the win is getting through and learning from the experience. Results aren't always black and white. Find the positive in the tough moments and use that to keep moving forward.

Out & Back Timing was in Albemarle yesterday helping the Uwharrie Brewing Running Club with their inaugural Stony Mountain Vineyard 5k. The weather was great and we appreciate these opportunities to provide our services!!
