Friendly reminder of our upcoming board meeting on October 1st, and all of the ways to get involved! ๏ฟผ

Our Annual Public Meeting is coming up, and we are looking for NCLL families who are willing to get involved and help make our league even better.

๐Ÿ“… Thursday, October 1st at 6:00 PM
๐Ÿ“ Northeast Community Center

The meeting is open to current board members, coaches, umpires, and parents of any player who participated in the 2026 spring and/or fall seasons.

HELP CHOOSE THE 2027 EXECUTIVE BOARD

Each year, NCLL elects its 7-member Executive Board. These individuals help provide the leadership and direction that keeps our league moving forward.

Executive Board positions include:

๐Ÿ”บ President
๐Ÿ”บ Director of Baseball Operations
๐Ÿ”บ Director of Softball Operations
๐Ÿ”บ Treasurer
๐Ÿ”บ Secretary
๐Ÿ”บ Umpire-in-Chief
๐Ÿ”บ Safety Officer

Nominations are open to all NCLL families.

If you have ever thought, โ€œSomeone should really do something about thatโ€ฆโ€ โ€” maybe that someone could be YOU. ๐Ÿ˜‰

THERE ARE ALSO MANY WAYS TO HELP WITHOUT JOINING THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

NCLL has a variety of Board of Director positions that allow you to contribute your time, skills, and ideas in areas that interest you.

Open positions include:

๐Ÿ”น Player Agents for each baseball/softball division
๐Ÿ”น Information & Communications Coordinator
๐Ÿ”น Social Media Coordinator
๐Ÿ”น Fundraising & Sponsorship Coordinator
๐Ÿ”น Coach Training Coordinator
๐Ÿ”น Equipment Managers
๐Ÿ”น Uniform Managers
๐Ÿ”น Player Training Coordinators
๐Ÿ”น Field Maintenance Coordinator
๐Ÿ”น Special Events Coordinator

And these roles really matter!

Player Agents help ensure our players are properly placed and supported. Equipment and Uniform Managers make sure our teams have what they need. Field Maintenance keeps our kids on safe, playable fields. Fundraising and Sponsorship help provide the resources our league needs. Communications and Social Media keep families informed and connected. Special Events create the experiences our kids remember.

Every one of these positions fills a piece of the puzzle.

WE NEED MORE HELPING HANDS

Our league is growing, and the workload cannot continue to fall on the same small group of volunteers.

You do not have to know everything.
You do not have to be a baseball or softball expert.
And you certainly donโ€™t have to do it alone.

What we need are parents who are willing to bring their time, ideas, skills, and energy to the table.

Volunteering isnโ€™t just about helping NCLL โ€” itโ€™s about having a voice in the future of the organization your children are a part of.

READY TO GET INVOLVED?

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for an Executive Board or Board of Director position, please contact NCLL Secretary Curtis Sharkey at:

๐Ÿ“ง [email protected]

Executive Board nominations must be submitted by September 25th.

Donโ€™t sit on the sidelines this year.

Step up. Get involved. Make a difference. Help us build the NCLL our kids deserve.

We're up to 400 registrations and we have a solid idea of how many teams we will have this fall.
Remember - we are forming teams by August 8 and will only accept registrations after that date to fill open slots. Sign up now to make sure your slugger has a slot on a team!

Scholarships are still available to anyone that needs help with the registration fee. Just ask.

Hereโ€™s what is available in each division:

Tee Ball: 6 slots
Coach Pitch BB: Division is full with 5 players on the waitlist. If we get another head coach, we will activate the 5 players and add more slots. It would be great if we could find 2 more head coaches.
Minors BB: 6 slots left.
Majors BB: 3 slots left. We can open 12 more slots if we find another head coach.
Juniors BB: Division is full. Waitlist is activated. We would like to add another team if we get additional registrations so donโ€™t hesitate to register.
Seniors BB: 1 slot left. We would like to add another team if we get additional registrations so donโ€™t hesitate to register.

Ponytail SB: 9 slots left.
Minors SB: 10 slots left.
Majors SB: 11 slots left.
Seniors SB: 3 slots left.

COACH MEETINGS: Save the date(s). These meetings are for all head coaches and assistant coaches. You will hear important information about the fall season and leave with your team's equipment. It will take about an hour.

There are no evals in the fall. You'll hear from a coach soon after the Coach Meetings (see below) with team details.

Thank you to the folks that stepped up to coach a Tee Ball team. We found 4 more coaches this week and were able to activate all of the Tee Ball kids on the waitlist. That being said, the Tee Ball waitlist is still in effect until we find more coaches. We anticipate needing at least 2 more.

We have the opposite challenge for most other divisions. There are more folks asking for a team than we have registrations. This is another reason to sign up as soon as possible - so we can plan for the appropriate number of teams.

Let us know if you have any questions.
