It’s time to get our rinks ready for another season of outdoor hockey! Bring the whole family and help us get Portman ready for winter.

While the adults work, kids can hang out, play kickball, and enjoy the day together. We’ll fire up the grill around lunchtime, so come ready to work, play, eat, and connect!

New to Portman? Come on out! Workday is a great chance to meet other Portman families, get to know the community, and kick off the season together. 🖤💛

🚨👀 Link to register for 2026 Learn to Skate! A great way to dip your toes in the (frozen) water. Encouraging all Mini Mite and new players to join and get familiar with the ice/skating! ⛸️🥅🏒

Open to all children between the ages 4-10 (as of September 20, 2026) residing within ISD 709/City of Duluth boundaries who are new to skating and have never played organized hockey.

🥅 Ready to get back on the ice?

Here are some upcoming dates for those who are eager to get the season started! A few things to keep in mind:

🏒 Early ice sessions are optional — these are simply opportunities to get back on the ice before the regular outdoor season begins.

📋 Players must be registered with Portman Hockey to attend.

And looking ahead to our outdoor practices, we’ll be moving from Mondays & Thursdays to Mondays & Wednesdays this season to better accommodate our coaches’ availability.
