North Shore Taekwondo and Cloquet Taekwondo are no longer operating. We're pleased to say that, as of summer 2025, we can direct people to the following programs. Here is information shared with us by Mr. Jeff Hall, 3rd Dan (degree black belt):

"Locally we offer instruction under Kukkiwon and World Tae Kwon Do Federation Certified Black Belts. Our system has the same, high accreditation as provided by Master Chris Correia. We will be offering classes for older than average students via Cloquet Community Education at Park Avenue Fitness Center. Also, 2nd Degree Black Belt, Amy Angell teaches classes in Barnum. Her courses are found in the Barnum Community Education System.

Our head instructors are 7th Degree Black Belt Grand Master Todd Gibbon and 5th Degree Master Jill Ament Gibbon who are Kukkiwon and World Tae Kwon Do Federation Certified. They own and operate Long Island TKD in Ashland, WI. If you have questions or want to meet, please reach out. This is your opportunity to restart your training in the gift of Tae Kwon Do.

North Shore Taekwondo and Cloquet Taekwondo are no longer operating. We’re sorry to say that we’re not knowledgeable enough of currently existing martial arts programs in the area to offer a recommendation. We are happy to offer some possible considerations on how to assess a program in general. Leave us a direct message if you would like such input.

Happy Thanksgiving holiday, everyone! It is a blessing in itself to be able to recognize all of the gifts we have: physical capability when some are challenged or limited so much more than are we; an opportunity to associate and connect when so many are alone; our opportunity to be challenged and fulfilled while many have not found a vocation of passion, fulfillment, or joy. For these and many other blessings let us be thankful!

Feel free to post any videos of you doing any kind of push-ups anywhere anyhow! Come on, put something out there. Anything! We have kids at home that need some inspiration!
