TIME'S ALMOST UP ⌛ This weekend is your last chance to tour the Irvin this summer ☀️

If you've been meaning to check out this truly unique piece of Great Lakes history, now's your last chance until next summer.

The Irvin will be open for regular tours this Thursday - Sunday (Sept 10-13).

It will then be closed as we spookify it for the Haunted Ship opening on October 2.

Some Saturdays you have to choose between two good things. This weekend, you don't. This Saturday (Sept 12), park once for two great events!

Start your morning when the gates open at Bayfront Festival Park. The Lake Superior Harvest Festival is celebrating its 32nd year, and its tagline says it all: "celebrating food, farmers, and community." (The event is free, but donations are cheerfully accepted at the gate.)

The bigger idea behind it is simple and worth supporting: local, sustainable food makes for a healthier economy, environment, and community.

And there is a lot packed into one park:

* An enormous farmers market
* Live music all day
* A nonprofit expo
* An art and craft fair
* An energy fair showing off what's new and up-and-coming!
* A food court
* Educational demos
* and even livestock!

Honestly, you could spend the whole day there. But here's the fun part: you don't have to pick just one festival, because Gourd Days is happening the very same weekend, just a short walk away.

Gourd Days runs Friday through Sunday (September 11–13), 10am to 4pm each day. Local vendors and artists will be set up along Harbor Drive in sweet wooden cabins.

Expect cozy fall eats, seasonal sips (including adult beverages for the over-21 crowd), local makers, a pumpkin bounce house, an inflatable toddler farm town, and a lakeside twist on the classic hayride (Spoiler: It’s a boat ride with hay.)

There will also be adoptable dogs from PJ's Rescue and a book cabin from the Duluth Public Library. Best of all? It's also free.
