Columbus Ultimate Disc Association

Columbus Ultimate Disc Association The Columbus Ultimate Disc Association is a nonprofit organization that was created in 2000 to help develop the sport of ultimate in and around Columbus, Ohio.

CUDA promotes the sport of ultimate and a social atmosphere in which players can learn and teach the sport. Though CUDA places tremendous emphasis on playing by the spirit of the game, it also fosters a competitive environment to accomodate high-level play. The CUDA staff responsibilities include:

- organizing leagues
- arranging sponsorships and managing CUDA's money for the leagues
- having shi

rts and discs printed for leagues
- maintaining a website
- helping to determine the general direction of the organization

The CUDA bylaws include a mission statement to help all players understand the underlying issues of the league, such as the importance of teaching new players and encouraging spirited competition. While the CUDA staff tries to stay lighthearted in its meetings, issues like player satisfaction and the development of ultimate in Columbus are taken seriously.
