Goalies and Goalie Families, I hope all is well with everyone and everyone is having a great first half to their seasons! I wanted to spread the word about the Chiller Holiday Youth Goalie Clinic December 28-30 Chiller.

This is a three day clinic with ice time 10:30-11:45am each day. Ages are 8-18 and goalies will be broken up into their age groups and age appropriate shooters. This is a great clinic to stay fresh over the holidays and keep your goalie in mid season form. Here is the structure of the clinic:
Day 1: Skating Fundamentals & Save Selection
Day 2: Game Situations, Reading the Play & Rebound Control
Day 3: Breakaway Technique, Battle+Complete & Angle Play

Goalies, I hope everyone is off to a great start to their season! I wanted to let everyone know about an exciting program right here at the Chiller. Introducing Chiller Strength & Conditioning led by Goalie Coach and Personal Trainer Mack Burton: Mack is a certified personal trainer and On-Ice Instructor here at the Chiller and will be utilizing the Chiller North weight room. Workouts can be tailored to goalie-specific demands and to all age groups. With great prices and a flexible schedule, take your game to the next level. This could include building strength, improving foot speed and quickness, reaction time, flexibility, and endurance. Make the Chiller your one stop shop for all things Goalie-related. Goalies,
I hope everyone is having a great start to the summer. I wanted to spread the word about the 2022 Summer SaveMaker Camp June 23-25 at Chiller North. There are plenty of available spots for both the Ages 6-12 and Ages 13-18 groups. This will be an afternoon and weekend camp where each group will receive an hour and a half on-ice session with a one hour off-ice session.

On-Ice training will focus on skating techniques, edge-work, fundamental save selection, in-game scenarios, battling, rebounds, puck tracking, breakaways, puck handling to add more tools to your game for next season. Goalie-specific Off-ice training will focus on strength, conditioning, balance, hand eye coordination and agility to make you the best possible athlete on the ice.

Goalies will receive instruction and shots from coaches and shooters who have played collegiate, professional, junior, AAA and High school varsity hockey. I am extremely excited to work with everyone at SaveMaker Goaltending. I have been a Coach with SaveMaker camps since it’s inaugural year and look forward to helping goalies reach their full potential for next season! Below is a link to register on the Chiller website:

We want to wish Coach Ryan Dop best of luck in Minnesota. He's going to be working for MEGA Goaltending as a full-time goalie coach in Blaine, MN. Ryan has meant a lot to hockey in Columbus. He was a two sport high school standout for the Olentangy Braves and always had a love for coaching from an early age. He's coached skaters and goalies at Chiller Ice Rinks during camps/clinics as well as Learn to Play, for local associations/teams, and colleges in the area from the time he was in high school.
We're excited for Ryan's opportunity.
