Our logo for our 20th Anniversary Season. Only 275 days away.

This year for the 1st time ever and in honor of 20 years we will be presenting medals to "THE 100". The top 15 will still get our iconic red medals while the next 85 finishers will get a unique Top 100 finisher medal and a group picture in front of our awards podium.

We think what this will do is give our slower runners the incentive to push themselves to be their best, instead of just finishing the race they will be running for Gold 🥇 this year.

We do cross country different, best course, best awards, best competition, best memories.

2025 Ohios Fastest "Little Kids"
Ohio Fastest Elementary Girl and Boy are Micah Suttle from Grasshoppers Running Club and Samantha Williams from Beaver Local Middle School.
Fastest 2nd Graders were Simon Holland from Ft Loramie and Gwen Yaussy from Wynford Elementary.
Fastest 3rd Graders were Nolan Thomas from Cleveland Youth Running Club and Nora Holliday from Van Wert Youth Running Club.
Fastest 4th Graders were Brendan Bassett from Cleveland Youth Running Club and Haylee Taylor from The Grasshoppers Running Club.
Fastest 5th Graders were Evan Thomas from Cleveland Youth Running Club and Evelyn Behymer from Centerville Striders.

Our future is VERY bright guys. See you next October.

What a great day we had yesterday. I lost sleep for a week worrying about the weather, turned out it was nowhere near as bad as predicted. It was wet and wild though especially our first 2 races.
Watching the kids cross the finish line with legs and feet covered in mud and water streaming down their faces was so inspirational. I've always said our runners never get the credit they deserve for being the great athletes they are. Runners dont get to take a break during timeouts, or halftimes, they are amazing from start to finish.
Notes:
1.We had a watch turned in so if you are missing one let us know
2. If you are missing a prize or award send us your address and we will mail it to you.
3. My guys at awards table were supposed to remove the green ping pong ball after someone pulled it out of the box as we can only do that once per year. Unfortunately they forgot and as fate would have it the very next race also got the green ball which caused us to run out and not have them for the D2 and D1 kids. But we will still mail the Gumball Machines to those who did not get one. Send addresses to me.

Next year will be our 20th year anniversary and my 20th year of being involved with it.
I've run youth sporting events for almost half a century now, from basketball to baseball and everything in between but my very favorite event of all is our Ohio Cross Country State Championships.
It wouldn't happen without the support of about 1800 of ohios greatest young athletes.
Let's get together again in October 2026.
