🌩️🏊 Sunset Swim Update 🏊🌩️

Boo! Based on the latest projections, thunderstorms are expected to move through the area during our scheduled Sunset Swim hours this evening, with the greatest concern during the 7:00 PM hour.

Rather than keeping everyone guessing and hoping for a break in the weather, we've made the decision to proactively reschedule tonight's Sunset Swim to next Friday, June 19.

✨ Same time. Same place. Same fun! ✨

Join us from 7:00–9:00 PM next Friday for an evening celebration you won't want to miss. The DJ will be back, the food will be hot, and we'll be ready to make a splash together under what we hope will be much friendlier skies.

Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our guests and staff. We'll see you next Friday at Randolph Park! πŸ’™β˜€οΈπŸŒ΄

WEDNESDAY IS COMING............

Zumba Fitness has taken the winning formula of Latin and international music beats for dance exercise and integrated them in a water-based workout. Aqua Zumba keeps the Zumba Fitness
workout party going in the pool, led by instructors who have specialty licenses and often Aquatic Exercise Association certification.

Dancing in the Water
Aqua Zumba is classic aqua aerobics with Latin flavor added. You perform large muscle movements by reaching your arms and lifting your legs in the water, as well as circling your hips and shoulders. The typical land-based Zumba dance steps, such as cha-cha, merengue, salsa, reggaeton and mambo, need to be more exaggerated and slower in the water, so the water tempo is half the land tempo.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How long is the class?
A. 45 minutes

Q. I take Zumba fitness at the gym, is Aqua Zumba the same routines but in the pool?
A. Aqua Zumba is the aquatic lower impact version of Zumba

Q. Do I have to memorize the routines?
A. No. Instructors will make routines easy-to-follow so you can join in at any class throughout the summer.

Q. Will we be doing the same songs every class?
A. Probably, since we only have 8 classes.

Q. Will I even get a workout from doing Zumba in the pool?
A. You will be moving your body against the resistance of water so be prepared to exercise and have fun!

Q. Since we are in the pool do I have to bring a water bottle?
A. Water exercise can cause dehydration. Bring water to class and drink as many times as you need to.

Instructors note: I will be drinking water pretty often!

Q. Can I participate if I cannot swim?
A. β€œThere are no swimming skills required.”

A LIFEGUARD WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE CHAIR ABOVE THE AQUA ZUMBA AREA

Q. What if some of the moves are too difficult for me?
A. β€œDo only what is comfortable and appropriate for you in class, but most of all, make sure you have fun!”

Q. What do I wear to Aqua Zumba class?
A. SUPPORTIVE swimwear is the best option when participating in Aqua Zumba. String bikinis are not likely to provide the support you need while exercising in the pool. But GURLLLLLLLL You Wear What You Like!

If you choose to wear any clothing items on top of your swimsuit, this is safe for the pool, however it may limit you from getting your best workout. You may also wear pool shoes or socks if you wish.

Q. Do I HAVE to wear socks or pool shoes?
A. You may want to invest in a pair of shoes designed for aqua fitness to avoid your feet slipping on the bottom of the pool while you exercise, however they are not required.

Q. How will I be able to follow the instructor in the water?
A. The instructor will be outside on the pool deck while the participants are in the water
