The Delaware Dawgs are making it loud and clear—this isn’t just another season, it’s a mission.
General Manager “Mac” Smith and Owner Shaq Mack have struck again in free agency, adding a major piece to what’s shaping up to be a championship-caliber roster for the upcoming ABA season.
SIGNED: Deion Evans PF/C
Standing at 6’8, Evans brings size, efficiency, and proven production to the Dawgs. A product of Imhotep Institute Charter in Philadelphia, PA, he continued his journey through Baltimore City Community College before elevating his game at Campbellsville University, where he shot an impressive 49.3% from the field.
His college career showed steady growth and dominance:
As a freshman, Evans made his presence known in 21 games, averaging 6.3 points and 4.1 rebounds.
By his sophomore campaign, he stepped into a larger role—appearing in 29 games with 14 starts, averaging 11 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
He recorded five 20-point performances while shooting 51.2% from the floor, proving his ability to take over games efficiently.
Evans didn’t stop there.
During his time with the MadTown Kodiak in the Official Basketball Association (OBA) minor basketball league, he delivered a historic performance—dropping 57 points in a single game, setting a career, franchise, and league record. That’s not just scoring—that’s dominance.
This signing sends a message across the league: the Dawgs are building something serious.
A versatile forward with the ability to impact both ends of the floor, Deion Evans adds firepower, depth, and a winning mentality to the roster.
Delaware, get ready. The Dawgs just got stronger.
