Race day! The boys and team are at Lincoln Speedway today for the yearly Throwdown im Abbottstown. Jake will be starting heat 2 on the pole and Tyler will start heat 4 in 3rd, top 3 from the heat’s advance to the feature, others to the B mains. Hoping for some luck on our side!

Very solid night for the boys last night. Tyler and Jake started 5th and 6th in the heat race. Jake was running well making it up to 4th from 6th. Tyler had some handling issues and lost 2 positions falling to 7th. The top 4 cars were called to the redraw so Jake just made it. He went up and pulled the pole position! Jake started the feature in 1st and Tyler started back in 13th. After making changes to Tyler’s car, he was able to get a hold of it and work his way up 6 spots to 7th! Jake ran very well leading the first few laps and even getting to start the race and restart the race after an early caution. He was up front running times similar to the big dogs of the track! All in all very nice finish, 2 top 10 cars, and nothing is broken! Ready to get back out next week!

Sorry for the late post. Last weekend was another bitter sweet night for the boys. Both of them struggled in the heats trying to feel out the cars and the track. They ended up starting right next to each other in the feature. Survival of the fittest kind of night. Jake got caught in a wreck early on pulling out his throttle cable ending his night. Tyler ended up pulling out an 8th place finish in a 20 car field! Can’t thank the crew enough for the work they put in and the Ken Kaylor built Skunkwork motors for getting us moving in the right direction. Learning something new every race, our time will come!

Good night last night! Jake struggled in the heat race putting him 13th for the feature. Tyler finished 4th in the heat starting 7th in the feature. Lots of crazy drivers out there getting Tyler involved in 2 accidents. Jake avoided them and finished in his career best 4th place! Tyler finished 8th. Great night for points! Thanks to Dad and Hagy for the fast race cars and thanks to LocaFam Racing for your help all night!!
