💗 DELAWARE SHOOTING STARS SPOTLIGHT 💗
When it comes to empowering young ladies, creating opportunities, and putting them in positions to succeed both on and off the court, there is simply nobody better than our Director, Karen Greene.
Karen doesn't just run a basketball program, she helps build confidence, character, accountability, and future leaders. Every young lady who comes through Delaware Shooting Stars is treated like family. She loves each and every player as if they were her own daughter and constantly goes above and beyond to make sure they have every opportunity to succeed.
If you've ever been to one of our tournaments, you've probably seen her. She's usually sitting in her famous pink chair, wearing something pink, keeping an eye on everything happening around her. While everyone else is focused on the game, Karen is making sure the entire experience runs smoothly for our players, parents, coaches, and supporters.
And referees... well, if you're working a Delaware Shooting Stars game, just know you're being evaluated too! 😂 Karen believes in accountability at every level. Players are accountable. Coaches are accountable. Parents are accountable. And yes, officials are accountable too. She expects excellence because she knows our girls deserve it.
Behind every successful organization is someone willing to do the work when nobody is watching. Karen spends countless hours organizing, planning, communicating, fundraising, encouraging, mentoring, and supporting our families. Much of what she does happens behind the scenes, but the impact she makes is seen every day in the growth of our young athletes.
Her passion is genuine. Her heart is unmatched. Her commitment is unwavering.
And let's be honest... her name is Karen, so you already know she's going to make sure things are done the right way! 😂💗
