It’s day 2 of full dress rehearsals! To avoid any confusion, we are rehearsing the 3rd show and the 4th show today. Godwin Heights auditorium is the location. Please remember rehearsal times are stage times. If you are late you may miss your performance.

To all of our stage hands, dressing room attendants, front table attendants, staff, assistants, demonstrators and student helpers, thank you for all your help. These shows could not happen without you!

Rehearsal Day 1 is upon us! Please remember the time listed is the time your dancer is expected to be on stage in full costume, make up and shoes. It’s not a “call time” it’s a performance time. Please allow extra time to park and get inside the building. For all dress rehearsals, you child will be released immediately following their last performance. They do not stay for the entire show. For recitals on Saturday they will remain backstage until after the finale. Let’s have a great rehearsal 🖤💚

We have arrived at our final week of classes before recital 🎉🎉🎉Check this list to make sure you have everything you need:

1. Is your tuition account paid in full? All balances must be paid for recital participation.
2. Have you picked up your recital tickets?
3. Have you picked up your pictures?
4. Have you double checked your rehearsal and recital times? Please do so this week as next week we will be headed to the venue and communication is limited. (If you do need to contact us email is best)
5. Double check tights to make sure you have what you need.

🐾 DDA Money War — Help Us Give Back While Supporting Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary 🐾

Dorr Dance Academy is kicking off a Money War fundraiser this spring to support the incredible dogs at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. Our competition teams will be competing, but everyone is invited to participate and donate.

This amazing non-profit rescues abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs across Michigan, providing food, veterinary care, training, and a safe place to stay while they wait for their forever homes. Every donation helps give these pups a second chance.

💰 How It Works
Bring in your spare cash and coins and drop them in your favorite team’s container at the studio.
➡️ 100% of donations go directly to Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary
➡️ Dorr Dance Academy will match the total amount raised

Recital tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 9:00am (March 30th). The cost is $14.00 each. Tickets are reserved seating and first come first served. Recital information was emailed to you. Our recital is May 30th 🎉

We are so incredibly proud of our team 💚🖤. You guys were a class act today. It is, and always will be a priority of mine to help raise kind, respectful and well behaved humans. It may be even more important to me than dance skills or choreography. Keep conducting yourselves in a manner that makes us proud!!

To our amazing staff: you guys are amazing and you did ALL the work for me today. It was so nice to get to see so many routines from the audience because you all had it handled! Shout out to Miss Aspen for driving to the middle of nowhere with us to help. I’m so fortunate to have each and every one of you❤️
