This call was made for a youth hunter who shot his first gobbler this Spring! (I believe he also got his first buck last Fall too!!) Awesome job, Coy!

Also, a big shoutout to his guides for doing a great job in sharing the turkey woods and getting a young hunter absolutely hooked on turkeys!

I know there's a long wait list now to get one his calls...... but some of us have been on board years ago! Just got a custom Hawkeye nail call from the man himself to add to the others in my flock!! Absolutely, the most unique turkey calls and they are loaded with hen! Thanks again, Douglas Herman!!

I was honored to be part of a group of wingbone callmakers who were tasked to design a 250th year call. This group of wingbones going together is such a unique set that will be a one of a kind collection! Thanks again, Mark! (sorry, not happy with the pics my new phone is taking.... this call is cleaner than the pics show.)

Thanks to some amazing people bidding, this set was able to raise $1750 at auction with all of the money going to the Iowa Special Olympics! I was very pleased with how this set turned out, and the calls' success at the fundraiser was a great way to end the Summer! Overall, the whole auction was very well supported and a great time was had by all! Huge shoutout to Chris McCormick who has headed up this fundraiser for 22 years!

No reason to call the local authorities, and no, it’s not the Canadian wildfires. If you see some smoke rollin’ above SE Iowa today, it’s just FinBonZ letting it heat up!! 20 summer sausage, 5 snack sticks, and a little dried deer on its way!

Here's a more detailed post on the calls I'm donating to the 22nd, and final, Scott Bryant Memorial Fundraiser Saturday August 15 at the Charleston Board of Trade.

For those that may not know the story, Scott tragically lost his life after being struck by a car participating in the Southeast Iowa Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. In a final selfless act, Scott saved the life of a fellow runner and shoved him out the way saving his life. In the years following, Scott's friends and family organized a fundraiser in his honor. Money raised from the Poker Run and Auction originally went towards his daughters' education. As they got older, the money now is donated to the Iowa Special Olympics in Scott's honor. Through Scott's tragic loss and his good friend's effort in fundraising, both Scott and Chris McCormick were inducted to the Iowa Special Olympics Hall of Fame.

Saturday's final auction item will be a custom built shovelhead chopper. Between the Poker Run and this chopper being auctioned off, I went with a Harley theme on the calls with the black and orange color combo with chrome accents.

After speaking with Chris, the calls will be separated for the live auction. The deer antler striker and the 2 bone tree yelper (very soft sounding call that can also be used as a striker) will sell together. The 3 piece river cane yelper, 3 bone wingbone yelper, and a 2 bone turkey yelper with a deer antler base will all be auctioned off separately. All calls are signed/numbered and will include a wooden display base, call lanyard, and I also will ship them if you're out of the area at no extra cost.

***Even though these are auctioning separately, I'd love to see them stay together as a set! If any bidder buys each of the items, I will donate another call of your choice to be built at a later time! I can built the call with your own harvested turkey wings or I have extra available.***

I will be attending the auction and can put the bid in for you, but I will not be watching my phone to increase bids that evening.
