🏁 Districts @ Iowa City Regina🏁

Boys and Girls HS Teams represented Central Lee well at the District Meet with everyone running PRs or near PRs on a challenging course to finish the season!

🏃‍♂️HS Varsity Boys led by Austin Fogarty in 18:34.2, followed by Orion StClair, Caedon Newton, Caden Crozier, Kaidin Humes, Henry Robbins, and Jaedin Oglesby finished 10th out of 14 teams

🏃‍♀️HS Varsity Girls led by State Qualifying Aubree Bunnell in 20:56.5, followed by Macy Anderson, Afton Maynes, Charlee Clay, Evelyn Adkins, Gabby Maynes, and Saphire Cummings finished 6th out of 14 teams. The 6th place district finish is the highest team finish in over a decade.

Aubree Bunnell will represent the team on Friday, Oct. 31st, at the State Meet in Fort Dodge!

Central Lee Middle School Cross Country closed out the 2025 season with an impressive showing at the State Meet—competing against nearly 40 schools in Class 2A with both teams earning top 10 finishes!

👟 Boys Team: 8th in the State!

🏃‍♂️ Runner Spotlight 🏃‍♂️

This week we’re highlighting freshman manager Brian! 👏 He ran in middle school and now plays a huge role keeping our team organized and connected this season.

We’re also proud of Ayden, who made the transition to high school running this year after middle school. Both of these freshmen have stepped up in big ways!

They’re ready to take on the last regular season meet Thursday at Mediapolis. Let’s cheer them on! 🖤💛

🏈 Our Homecoming tradition is back! Last night, our high school boys carried the game ball from Central Lee to Montrose and on to Argyle.

Tomorrow, our high school girls will pick up in Argyle and run toward Donnellson—where both teams will join forces to finish the journey together, bringing the ball all the way back to the high school field! 🖤💛

Both of these athletes are making their mark in their very first high school cross country season!

✨ Orion – After an impressive middle school career, Orion stepped in as a freshman and hasn’t missed a beat. He’s already contributed to the varsity lineup at every meet, and there’s a lot of excitement about what’s ahead for him!

✨ Rachel – A sophomore who first joined us for winter training runs, Rachel made the bold commitment—in the coldest month of the year—to officially become part of the team. Since then, she’s brought energy, dedication, and genuine friendship that have made such a difference.

We’re so proud of both of these runners and can’t wait to see how their seasons continue to unfold! 🖤💛

Tonight at the football game (and here on Facebook) we celebrate our final two XC seniors!

Riley has been a kind, easy-going teammate who brings positivity and fun to the group.

Katheryne decided to give cross country a try for the very first time this fall, using her senior year to test out distance running before track season—and she’s embraced the challenge with determination.

🍪🥇 Future Hawks on the Run! 🥇🍪
It was so much fun sending home celebratory cookie medals with our young CL runners who raced in our mile run last week!

Over 40 K–6 runners took on the course through the Outdoor Education Center and crossed the finish line with smiles—led in by members of our high school cross country squad.

A huge thank you to Baked By Bryant for helping us celebrate our future CL Hawks in the sweetest way! 🖤💛
