Tallin - “Buck down”

A text message that will be one of many over the coming years and one that will never get old. Super proud of him! Nice little 4 point!

The woods are heating up! These fellas are squabbling over a mock scrape that bucks have been patrolling since it went in last night. Bring on Saturday, it’s almost OPEN’N DAY! 💥🦌

Both the boys are looking for redemption on their last evening before the rest of us join them in the woods. Good luck to all! 💥🦌

Week 2 lodgers battled the weather, seeing two moose all week after seeing 10 while scouting on the Sunday prior to the hunt. That being said, the tag was filled!

Maine Black Bear Trapping

10/14/2026

After cashing in on furs last year Mr. Tallin has been itching for trapping season to start. I’d say this is a helluva way to start it off kid! Congratulations on your first bear, 230lb boar! Wilderness Freaks

Not a bad day at camp yesterday! Nearly a limit of birds, had a bunch of other opportunities we couldn’t capitalize on. Let’s see what we can grab on the way out! 💥

Another one! Congrats to the Dean Smith hunting party out of Durham who are renting camp this week. Dean said they made their way into the spot I slid them this morning and were able to harvest this Zone 4 bull.

Congratulations to Mark Lopez of Bridgeton on an opening day bull in Zone 4! Within the first hour of calling Mark and his son had two bulls fighting over a cow in front of them. I may not have been there physically but I was in spirit. I met Mark last week and shared hunting stories which led to sending him a couple OnX pins. He was happy to provide me the good news moments ago via phone call, the spot paid off!
