Looking for something fun to do this Labor Day Weekend? We still have both morning and afternoon slots available for Sunday's Steel Challenge Shooting Assn. match. It is only $15 for your first gun and $10 for additional guns. You can sign up for 2 guns in the morning and 2 in the afternoon if would like to make a day of it. There will be 4 stages.

We got an early start to setup for today's Dynamic Steel match in an attempt to beat the heat. If you are coming out today, make sure to hydrate ahead of time.

Also, reminder that we will not have a Wednesday match for the next couple of weeks. After today, our next Dynamic Steel match won't be until 9/23. Hopefully you can make it out today!

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGES

I am headed out to Utah to help setup, shoot and work Factory Gun Nationals for USPSA. I will be gone from 9/7-9/22. As such, I have to cancel some upcoming matches and make some schedule changes for others. Here is the breakdown:

The 9/9 & 9/16 Dynamic Steel, 9/12 PCSL 2-Gun, and 9/13 USPSA matches have been cancelled. We are also moving the Glen Fertig II Memorial Championship to 10/24-25.

We have added back our 4th Saturday USPSA match on 9/26 which will offer both morning and afternoon squadding. This match is currently listed as private on PractiScore. If you were approved to shoot the 9/13 match, you should have received an email this morning with a link to register for the 9/26 match. We will open up registration to the public later in the week.

We have done something similar for those registered for the 9/12 PCSL 2-Gun match. For the folks that were approved for that match, we have gone ahead and sent you an email with a registration link to the October PCSL 2-Gun match. Again, that match will remain private until later in the week.

Since we have moved the Memorial Championship to the 4th weekend of October, we have added an ADM Rifle Series match on 9/27. Registration for that match is open to the public for that match. We have also decided to add a 6th match for the series on 11/15.

That is it for changes to the schedule. We still have Dynamic Steel tomorrow, 9/2, and our Steel Challenge match this Sunday, 9/6 (there are still slots available for this match). The calendar on the website and PractiScore have been updated.

Thanks everyone for coming out to the American Defense MFG Rifle Series match! We have action below from all 4 stages of the match. The standings have been updated and will be posted in the comments below.

Also, we are planning on 2 more matches...more information to follow on those dates.

On Wednesday, U.S. Practical Shooting Assn. (USPSA) held their Inaugural Report to Membership. As part of that report, each Area recognized a Club of the Year. This award is based on the number of matches held and the number of Level 1 competitors in attendance. Dynamic Shooting Sports, LLC was recognized as the 2025 Club of the Year for USPSA Area 5.
We are extremely proud of this accomplishment! Please know there are a lot of folks that have made this possible. Our founder, Don Maher, and landlord, Glen Fertig III, have provided the foundation for our success. We have also had a lot of folks that have helped with our matches. Most notable in 2025, Tim Sikon, Leland Roenigk, Matthew Schermer, and Patrick Coar. The Ohio North Section of USPSA has also been incredibly supportive of our club. Thank you to all the Match Directors for their time in their own matches and their recommendations to attend our matches.
I could rattle on for a long time on this post, but I will wrap it up by thanking one last person...my wife, Jill Beebe. Your support and willingness to allow me to pursue this endeavor at DSS has been the single best factor that contributed to this result. Thank you!
Everyone, please know that the range and these matches have resulted in the happiness of thousands of people in our community! I look forward to seeing you all at the range!
