Last Saturday we said “until next time” to our U6-U8 Fall League 2026 players!

These early experiences help create a lifelong appreciation of the game and team sports while building a sense of belonging that extends well beyond soccer. The friendships formed, the connections made, the lessons learned, and the goals scored are part of a players journey we made happen together!

Coaches and referees- your time, energy, patience, and enthusiasm make such a a difference! We saw so many smiles this season made possible by you.

Parents and families- your involvement is what makes community soccer happen! From field set up, to snack delivery, to getting your player where they need to be we are so thankful for your support, feedback, and encouragement

Chance almost stumped him but Coach Hector earned a 100% in the “Hi Coach” challenge!

If you’ve been around a DCS program this Fall odds are good you’ve run into Hector because across his teams Hector is “coach” to 36 different players! Hector teaches the game in relatable ways at three different age groups (here with his U11 Davis United team), takes time to connect with players, and serves as a mentor as they step on to the field as they referee because (oh yeah!) Hector does that too. Way to go, Coach!

📣 We want your feedback! Surveys for programs are now in your inbox if you're a participating family. Please take a few minutes to fill yours out.

Your feedback, good and bad, goes into our reports to our partners and shows us where we’re doing a good job and where we can improve.

Here’s how it can make a difference! Last season, Andrew pointed out that tents at U10 soccer games would help with setting up correct field layouts on game day, making things easier for coaches and referees. This season, the tents are there!

Check your email and let us know how we’re doing!

Let’s be honest: the scoreboard hasn’t been kind to this team this season. But if you only look at the scores, you’re missing the point.

Coach Sean and Coach Euan are playing the long game, leaning into player development over wins and losses. Every practice is built around lots of touches on the soccer ball, fun and growth. The work, thought, and positivity they pour into it doesn’t always show up in the final tally.

What does show up is the smiles on the sideline, the encouragement, and the lessons about effort, resilience, and teamwork they model for their players week after week. Those are exemplary, and they’re the kind of lessons that last a lot longer than a season.

This fall, these soccer teammates decided to take on a new role: referee. Hector and Alex have each officiated 4 or more U8 games this season, and they're already making a difference for our youngest players.

Youth referees play a large part in our program. Hector and Alex know what it's like to be on the other side of the whistle, and that perspective will help them keep the game safe, fair, and fun.

Rivals for 60 minutes, friends for the rest of it 😄 This season, after many games both teams and spectators in Fall League have been sharing one tunnel for post-game celebrations. What a cool thing our sidelines are creating together!

A sneak peek at practice with Coach Hayley, Coach Michael, and the 8U Golden Knights!

Set up for success. They arrived a few minutes early to set up, so kids can hop right into a scrimmage. Four goals encourage players to look up and make decisions, and more goals means more fun. Orange pinnies laid out ahead of time keep transitions between activities fast and smooth.

A warm welcome. Every player was greeted as they arrived. It’s a small connection point, but tells a lot about the rest of the day has gone!

Thank you, Hayley and Michael, for the care you put into every practice!

Soccer is a family affair for Christopher and Wesley.

This father-son duo shares the pitch as referees, and for them it’s about more than the whistle. It’s one of the ways they have fun together.

Whether they’re working a match side by side or swapping stories in the car ride home, the game gives them time together they’ll have forwever. And for our players and families, it’s a great reminder of what youth soccer is all about: community, good sportsmanship, and enjoying the game.

You may also see them coaching and playing on Saturday and Sundays! A big thank you to Christopher and Wesley for the time and energy they give to Davis Community Soccer.

Referees make the game possible, and we’re lucky to have them

Every week we’re seeing great enthusiasm and growth in provided keeper training (for U10+ players). Check in with your coach if you are a Fall League or United player and have questions. And next time a keeper makes a save in the game give them a big round of applause!

Kind words from a parent:
“The young adults you have running the 10U goalkeeper practices are doing a GREAT job!! So fun to watch them at work!”

The best part of Saturday mornings: tiny cleats, big effort, and a sideline full of laughter. Fall league week 5 was fun!
