Today DYSA is 🥎thankful🥎 for our 8U Fall Ball managers- Kari and Ryan! Kari and Ryan each stepped into the manager role this fall and we are grateful for their leadership. The Emerald Leopards and Shooting Stars played hard in the seeding tournament this last weekend, showing fierce competition, spirited cheering, and spectacular softball skills. We are so excited to watch these players learn and grow this fall under the guidance of Kari and Ryan. Thank you, both, for volunteering your time and expertise!

During these hot summer days, DYSA is especially 💖thankful💖 for our Triple Play sponsor 🍧Sweet and Shavery🍧, who supported this spring’s 10U champion- the Smashing Pumpkins! Their Italian Ice is made fresh in store. A classic East Coast frozen dessert made with water, fresh fruit, fruit concentrates, purees, or food flavorings. The consistency is similar to a mix of sorbet and shaved ice. It is made in a batch freezer, much like ice cream. They serve 16 different flavors daily!

But have you tried their frozen custard?! Their Frozen Custard is a cold dessert similar to soft serve ice cream, with a denser and richer texture and taste. Custard is made with egg yolks and has a higher butter fat content than ice cream, producing a creamier and richer product.

Today DYSA is 🎉thankful🎉 for our Triple Play sponsor 🐮Tremont Farms🐮who sponsored our 8U Violet Vipers this past spring. Tremont Farms is a family-owned farm based in Davis, California. Owners Tommy and Mandi Bottoms raise, market, and sell pasture-raised beef directly to families in the Davis community. In addition to raising beef cattle, they grow a variety of California crops, including processing tomatoes🍅, melons🍉, sunflowers🌻, sweet corn🌽, hay✨, and almonds🌰.

Today DYSA is ✨thankful✨ for our Commissioner, Alicia Hawley! Over the last four years on the Board of Directors, Alicia has contributed countless hours to DYSA leadership, serving the last two years as Commissioner. You likely have seen Alicia at games and tournaments talking with families, cheering on our athletes, and managing situations within the organization. While this month is a slower time for the activity on the field, Alicia is still working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is ready for fall ball and the start to our year-round Dynamite program. Today DYSA is 🎉grateful🎉 for our vice president Jessica Gosney! Jessica has served on the Board of Directors for five years in various capacities, and as vice president she can often be found representing us at Norcal meetings and ensuring that we are in compliance with all the ins and outs of the softball world. Jessica has been integral in shaping and clarifying roles within the Board, as well as reviewing bylaws and many things behind the scenes. Not only has Jessica provided time and energy towards the Board, but she has coached in our Dynamite and All Stars program for the last six years. We are grateful to Jessica for her time and dedication to DYSA. Thank you, Jessica!
