Okay so let’s talk about this. Folk dancing is actually very important. Most of the older ballets have some kind of Mazurka, Tarantula, there are also a bunch from Russia. When we take our RAD exams this is a very important part. Not everyone is going to be a principal dancer. Most dancers have to do these dances. I use to love doing them! There was one that was for doing laundry in Ukrainian folk dance ( yes sounds so strange. But it was actually so fun. It helped us also understand dance history
