💦 KYDD Signature Summer Splash – Thank You! 💦
On behalf of the Kentucky DockDogs Board, thank you to everyone who joined us for the KYDD Signature Summer Splash! Whether you came to compete, volunteer, vend, sponsor, or cheer from the sidelines, you helped make this one of our favorite weekends of the year.
Our goal is always to create an event that's fun, welcoming, and memorable, and that simply wouldn't be possible without the incredible people who make up this community.
A huge thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers. From running merchandise, wrangling dogs, announcing, judging, helping with setup and teardown, and stepping in wherever an extra hand was needed, your dedication kept the event running smoothly all weekend long. It's one of the things that truly sets our club apart. We aren't just a club, we're a family. The support, teamwork, and friendships we see are a reminder that, at the end of the day, it's about making memories with our best friends, both human and canine.
To our KYDD members: thank you for always showing up and supporting our club. Of all the handlers who competed this weekend, only three were not (yet!) KYDD members. That speaks volumes about the incredible community we've built together, and we truly couldn't do this without each and every one of you.
We're also incredibly grateful for everyone's support of our fundraising efforts. Thanks to your participation in the co****le tournament, silent auction, merchandise purchases, and generous donations, we raised just over $2,500 for our Emergency Fund! Those funds allow us to continue helping members when life throws unexpected challenges their way, and we're so thankful for a community that always takes care of its own.
We also hope everyone enjoyed our Saturday night banquet. Sharing a meal, celebrating together, and spending time outside of competition has become one of our favorite traditions, and we're grateful to everyone who joined us. Thank you to Lisa and Pete Bottom for providing another wonderful weekend of meals.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our food vendors who kept everyone well-fed throughout the day. Thank you to GHS Chuck Wagon, Gloria's Mexican Grill, and Gibbs Farms for serving up great food and drinks and helping keep competitors, volunteers, and spectators fueled all day long.
We'd also like to recognize our wonderful event vendors for spending the weekend with us. Thank you to Primitive Prey, Mountain Dog Gear, Wave of Serenity, and Pawsitive Pup Unleashed for bringing your products and services to our event. We appreciate your support of our club and hope everyone had a chance to stop by and check out what you had to offer.
We'd also like to give a very special thank you to Olivia Jutte, Jason Miller, and Krista Silvers for working tirelessly behind the scenes all weekend. From capturing incredible photos and videos to keeping our social media updated throughout the event, they helped showcase the excitement of the Signature Summer Splash for everyone following along at home. We truly appreciate the countless hours you dedicated to preserving the memories of an unforgettable weekend.
