Yesterday was supposed to be a commercial video shoot for the shop… but Mother Nature had other plans.

As we arrived at the beach getting ready to film, Lana Smithson spotted a massive dorsal fin in the distance. At first we thought it might be a mola mola, but after Dave Kahn grabbed his binoculars, we realized it was actually a basking shark!

As excited as we all were, we had to stay focused and finish the shoot first. Once the in-water filming wrapped up, we swam over to observe this incredible animal. The shark was calmly feeding and cruising back and forth through the shallows completely unfazed by us.

This gentle giant was easily 20–25 feet long and absolutely breathtaking to see in person. Huge shoutout to Lana Smithson for capturing this amazing footage and being a great actress for the shoot!

Definitely one of those unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime ocean moments. What an incredible day for all of us.

What.A.Weekend!! These students had a blast checking off their skills and gaining confidence. Some will be diving locally with us while others head to the Azores & St. Lucia to complete their check our dives.

𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠📸

This month the presenters are all starting with the exact same image… and seeing where it goes from there. Each person will edit the photo below in their own style, then share their final result and walk us through how they got there. It’s a cool way to see just how different one image can look depending on the person behind it, and you’ll definitely pick up some new editing tricks along the way.

No pressure, no “right” way to do it, just a chance to get creative, learn from each other, and see things a little differently.
