Darshini Natyalaya is delighted to celebrate a very special milestone in the artistic journey of Sahana Ram as she presents her Bharatanatyam Arangetram on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Sahana has been learning Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Smt. Gayatri Seshadri for over nine years. Throughout her training, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication, discipline, and a genuine love for this beautiful art form. Her Arangetram is the culmination of years of rigorous practice and marks the beginning of her lifelong journey in Bharatanatyam.

She will be accompanied by an accomplished orchestra featuring:

Grateful to one of my favorite mentors, Dr. Radhika Shurajit, who teaches with such incredible precision, dedication, and attention to detail. ❤️

Our students worked hard to keep up and were disciplined enough to absorb the many small nuances that Akka so beautifully emphasizes in her teaching. Every correction, every detail, and every moment of learning was invaluable.

Thank you, Akka, for taking the time and effort to teach my little crew. We are so fortunate to learn from you. I truly feel that we have taken another meaningful step forward in this endless sagara of knowledge and learning. 🙏

Super proud moment for me as a teacher this past weekend at the American Natya Idol competition ✨

My students placed across all categories:

🌟 Solo Category
Avantika – 1st Prize (Juniors)
Shanjana – 2nd Prize (Intermediate)
Maya – 3rd Prize (Intermediate)
Sahana – 2nd Prize (Senior)

✨ Group – 2nd Prize (Senior)

I have been training these students since their kindergarten years, and it was truly special to watch them shine on stage. Seeing their growth, dedication, and love for the art come together in this moment meant everything ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to & .sudha for the encouragement and for organizing such a wonderful event.

And of course, to all the parents—thank you for your constant support and trust. This journey is truly a team effort 🙏
