These nostrils are for taking deep breaths! 👃
A manatee can hold their breath for up to 20 minutes if needed. But on average will come to the surface every 3-5 minutes while eating.
If you’re calm and quiet on the surface a manatee might even decide to take its breath right next to you!!!

Did you know manatees can feel your heart beat? ❤️
Manatees have hairs on their bodies called vibrissae that can pick up on vibrations within the water.
This means they can also pick up on tidal changes and overall navigate through their environment with little eyesight.

Scalloping is a great way to get the whole family involved!
If your kids love Easter egg hunting then they’ll love scalloping!
Hiding within the grass these scallops are great at camouflage. But if you look for their blue eyes you should be able to spot them just beneath you!
