The wait is finally over! We’re kicking off elk season today and couldn’t be more excited to get back into the high country. Hard work, long days, big mountains, and hopefully some great bulls!

🏔️ Long Ridge Outfitters — Hunting Season Opportunity

LOOKING TO EXPAND OUR TEAM!

Long Ridge Outfitters is looking for experienced, dependable people to join our hunting season crew.

🐴 WRANGLER / PACKER

Dates: September through mid-October

Responsibilities include:

Bringing hunters safely in and out of the high country
Packing client gear and harvested game
Caring for and handling horses
Working closely with hunters and the outfitting team

🍳 HIGH-COUNTRY COOK

The cook will stay in the high country with clients for approximately one week at a time and be responsible for preparing meals and helping maintain camp.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH POSITIONS

✅ Previous experience required
✅ CPR & First Aid certified
✅ Dependable and hardworking
✅ Comfortable living and working in the high country
✅ Must work well with clients and a backcountry crew
🐎 Bring your own horse if desired

WHAT WE PROVIDE

🏕️ Lodging provided
🍳 Breakfast, lunch & dinner provided on days worked
🐴 Bring your own horse if desired
