Your program was built before you walked in the door.

Every week, our coaches get together to design what’s next. Mapping out exercises, progressions, regressions, load, and volume for the week ahead. Every decision has intention behind it. From there, each coach takes that framework and personalizes it to you before every session.

The work that happens before you arrive is what makes the hour worth it ✨

We’d like you to meet someone.

Please give a warm welcome to our newest trainer, Noah Morton.

Noah is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a background that spans Olympic athletes, Air Force cadets, and clients across the U.S. and Australia.

He brings a data-driven approach, a deep focus on strength and conditioning, and the kind of energy that makes early mornings worth showing up for.

Outside the gym, he’s currently training for a HYROX competition and the Bondi to Manly 80km Ultra Marathon. Safe to say he practices what he preaches.

We are selective about who joins this team, and when we met Noah, we knew. We’re thrilled to have him on the floor.

If you see him in the studio, say hello.

Welcome to Recoup, Noah. 💪🏼

Exhausted by 2pm… and you haven’t even made it to pickup yet? 😅

We have been there. Between work, the kids, and trying to squeeze in a workout, by midday you are running on fumes.

But here’s the thing: most of the time it’s not about adding MORE to your plate.

It’s about getting good at a few basics 👇🏼

⚡ EAT RIGHT
Aim for 30–40g of protein per meal + a carb + healthy fats. That combo keeps your blood sugar stable and your energy consistent all afternoon. Skip the protein and you’re setting yourself up for a crash by 2pm.

☀️ GET OUTSIDE
A 10-minute walk before noon sounds small. It’s not. Circulation up, brain fog down.

💧 DRINK MORE WATER THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED
Minimum 80 oz a day. And that’s the floor, not the goal. Spread it throughout the day, not all at once. Most water bottles are 20–25 oz, so that’s 3–4 bottles. Easy to track. Simple as that.

🏋️ TRAIN SMARTER (NOT HARDER)
If your workouts are leaving you wrecked instead of energized, that’s a sign. Dial it back; take more rest between sets, don’t chase a PR every session, stop before you’re running on empty. The goal is to walk out feeling better than when you walked in. Not destroyed.

None of this is complicated, and that’s the point.

These things are easy to do. But they’re just as easy not to do.

Here’s what we know: you get better at what you practice. So practice the basics. And if you keep practicing ignoring the basics? You’ll probably get really good at that too.

You don’t need another supplement or a complete life overhaul.

You need the basics, done consistently 💪🏼

Get back to this for your next afternoon slump🙏🏽

Nobody tells you this about building healthy habits.

It has nothing to do with discipline. Or willpower. Or finding the “right” program.

Most of our Recoup members come to us exhausted from juggling careers, kids, and a to-do list that never gets shorter. They have tried to “get healthy” a dozen times. They know what they should be doing. They just can’t figure out where it fits.

Most people blame themselves.

Tell themselves they just don’t want it bad enough.

We hear that a lot. And it’s almost never true. This is not a willpower problem, but a clarity problem.

So we wanted to share something with you that we use in our coaching with our clients.

It’s called the Impact/Effort Matrix.

A 5-minute tool that helps busy professionals figure out exactly where to focus their energy. You list what’s on your plate (training, nutrition, work projects, family commitments.. all of it), score each one by impact and effort, and the matrix tells you what to do first, what to schedule, what to delegate, and what to cut entirely.

Most people don’t need more information. They need a clearer picture of what’s actually worth their time. That’s all this is.

Comment “TOOL” below and we’ll send it straight to your DMs. It’s free, and it takes you only 5 minutes. We think you will find it eye-opening 💙

Why does mobility matter more as we age?

As we age, maintaining mobility becomes one of the most important investments we can make in our long-term health. Mobility is not just about flexibility, it is about keeping your joints moving through their full range of motion, reducing injury risk, improving posture, and maintaining independence in everyday life.

The good news? It is never too late to start, and even small, consistent efforts make a significant difference.

Here's what we're doing about it: We will incorporate dedicated mobility work more regularly into our programming because training smart means training for longevity, not just performance.

Wondering where you stand? We offer an online mobility assessment to help identify your personal areas of opportunity. The link is below. Results include a personalized follow-up with exercises tailored to your mobility needs.

Your best movement is ahead of you. Let's work for it.

Yesterday was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for something bigger than itself 💙🇺🇸

For the 15th year, our community showed up to support our nation’s veterans through . And once again, the impact was incredible.

Yesterday was filled with push-ups, connection, and a shared mission to make a difference.

30 participants stepped up to take on the challenge, completing an incredible 2,016 push-ups in just 90 seconds each. Every push up represented something bigger than fitness, it represented support, awareness, and hope for those who have served our country.

Our goal was to raise another $25,000 and reach an incredible $300,000 in total impact. While the final numbers are still rolling in, we’re confident that, thanks to all of you, we once again achieved our fundraising goal👏🏼

To everyone who donated, participated, volunteered, shared our mission, cheered from the sidelines, and showed up with such incredible energy.. THANK YOU. None of this would have been possible without you🥹

A special congratulations to our top fundraisers, & who went above and beyond to help us make an even greater impact 🏆

We’d also like to thank our incredible returning and new vendor partners for their generosity, support, and contributions to this year’s event:

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was hearing from U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Boot Campaign Ambassador, Jason Borne, who shared powerful stories about the impact of Boot Campaign’s programs. While many of us often describe these programs as life-changing, Jason reminded us that for many veterans, they’re actually life-saving.

And finally, thank you to for beautifully capturing the day. Your talent allows us to relive these moments and showcase what we believe is one of the most incredible communities in OC.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us make a difference. Together, we’ve built something truly special💙
