***SHORE ROAD / RIVER AVENUE WATER MAIN BREAK***

UPDATE 11/25/23 4:45pm

Full water service has been restored to the River Avenue / Shore Road area. Those affected by the water main breaks today remain under a Boil Water Advisory. This Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect for at least for the next 72 hours. The full text of the advisory can be found below. You will be notified once the advisory is lifted.

Residents may experience discoloration of the water and/or air in the the water. Please allow your water to run until clear. It is best to use the water faucet at the highest point in your home to remove the air.

UPDATE 11/25/23 7:15am
The Shore Road water main break has been repaired. Our repair crew is relocating to River Avenue in order to complete the necessary repairs. Water service will remain off on lower River Avenue and Shore Road until this repair is completed. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at (845) 534-4200 ext. 318.

Shore Road has been re-opened to all traffic and River Avenue is no closed to traffic from Spruce St. to Shore Road.

Saturday 11/25/23 3:00am
The Water Department is on scene of two separate water main breaks. One on Shore Road and an additional one on River Avenue in the Village. Water service to lower River Avenue and on Shore Road has been shutdown while our repair crew will works to complete necessary repairs.

Additionally, Shore Road will be closed to thru traffic from River Avenue to Rte. 9W while the repair work is ongoing.
