Missed Wednesday’s Glow Ruck?
No worries—we’ve got another chance to earn the patch coming up on Wednesday, July 15th at 9:00 PM.
Same glowstick fun. Same patch requirements. Another summer night to light up the road and enjoy a few miles together.
Bring your glowsticks, bracelets, necklaces, headlamps—whatever helps you shine—and come ready for 5 miles after sunset through the quiet country roads. Fireflies, summer air, and a crew glowing their way down the road… hard to beat that.
Patch Requirements:
• Begin after sunset
• Add glowsticks, necklaces, bracelets, or other fun glow gear
• Complete at least 5 miles
• Weight: rucker’s choice
• Follow night safety protocols (headlamps, reflectors, road guards, etc.)
• Minimum participants required: 5

✨ Glow Ruck Recap ✨

The glow sticks were bright, the country roads were quiet, and summer gave us one warm, muggy night to earn some patches.

Despite the heat, the crew knocked out the miles to earn their Glow Ruck Patch, lighting up the route with glow necklaces, bracelets, and headlamps as the sun disappeared. There’s something uniquely fun about watching a line of glowing ruckers wind down a dark country road… do you think they’re gossiping about us?

It was especially great to have Donavan Lacy and Lincoln back out with the crew. The sweat was real, but so were the laughs, the conversations, and another patch earned together. Nights like these are a reminder that some of the best rucks don’t happen in perfect conditions—they happen when good people decide to show up anyway.

Upcoming Patched Ruck: Freedom Mile 🇺🇸🏅

Get ready to earn your Freedom Mile Patch! This ruck will feature a patriotic one-mile challenge at Tsuga Trail in Guys Mills—perfect for pushing your pace, challenging yourself, and celebrating America’s 250th with your ruck friends!

Patch Requirements:
• Carry a challenging weight (60, 80, or 100 lbs—scaled as needed) for 1 mile total
• Complete four 1/4 mile laps
• Enjoy 4 x 12 oz. beers or non-alcoholic drinks before each lap!

About the Patch:
This patch is designed to celebrate freedom, grit, teamwork, and a little good old-fashioned American fun. We’re honoring America’s 250th birthday the GORUCK way—with weight, movement, and community. According to GORUCK, patches are earned by completing themed or challenge-based rucks that test endurance, teamwork, and grit—just like the official GORUCK events.

🇺🇸 1776 Patch Earned! 🏅

A huge congratulations to James for earning his 1776 Patch—and doing it the hard way.

James completed the full 17.76 miles in a single day, taking on the Advanced level of the challenge and proving that determination, preparation, and grit can carry you a long way. Seventeen-plus miles under a ruck isn’t something you stumble into—it takes commitment from the first step to the last.

The 1776 Patch honors the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the principles of freedom that continue to inspire us today. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by watching members rise to the challenge and accomplish something difficult.

Don’t forget—you’ve still got one week left to earn your own 1776 Patch! Complete 17.76 miles in one day, one week, or throughout the month of June. However you choose to tackle it, there’s still time to finish strong and claim your patch.
