💪 Want to improve your deadlift? Start by learning how to LOWER your center of gravity correctly using a band.
One of my favorite ways to teach better deadlift mechanics is banded resistance.
The band adds resistance that challenges you to:
✅ Push your feet into the floor instead of simply pulling with your back
✅ Lower your center of gravity and establish a stronger starting position
✅ Keep your hips and shoulders working together
✅ Maintain tension throughout the entire movement
✅ Improve your ability to generate force from the ground up
✅ Develop better balance, control, and positioning
✅ Build strength through the full range of motion
The big mistake I see with the deadlift is people trying to bend over and pick the weight up instead of learning how to properly lower their center of gravity, load the hips, brace the trunk, and drive through the floor.
The band gives you immediate feedback. If you lose your position, you’ll feel it.
Better position → better force production → better deadlift.
Don’t just train the deadlift.
Train the movement pattern that makes you better at deadlifting. 🔥
