Good day my friends,
For the 2024-2025 school year in Florida,
I will not be able to teach dance to kids (except for my adult Wedding couples).
I am going to Orthopedic specialist doctors to examine an old sports injury from a split in yoga class around 2007.
I'm having progressive symptoms of "Dancers hip syndrome" in the posterior buttox junction. It feels like one of my hamstring tendons may have had a labral tear.
I'm doing physical therapy on my SI joint & my own physical rehabilitation. I am only working out at home with online coaches, no gym classes.
I study online for about two hours a day, in anatomy, physical therapy, chiropracty, & watch lectures from surgeons.
I'm also working on getting things settled into my home office, & spending time with close friends & family.
While I thought I could return to work sooner, I had several slip & falls, & stumbles, that caused sprains, that set me back.
I am doing deep self massage & trigger point therapy techniques at night for recovery.
I stretch, walk around the block about 6x a week, & I started swimming again this summer of '24.
I am working on typing my lyrics & character descriptions for my 6 musicals, I have written 130+ of the songs so far.
My weight management has been a roller coaster. I lost much weight & was 149 pounds at the end of 2023. Unfortunately with stress my body retained 30 more back.
I have an underlying medical condition to manage, hyperthyroidism. I have an Endocrinologist, ENT specialist. I'm on a medication very low dose called Methimazole, about 2.5 mg per day. I have to go to the lab & have a complete metabolic panel twice a year, a blood test. (annoying but necessary).
I'm happily enjoying peaceful days in solitude,
& have a day/night job as a security guard.
I was able to take some time off work to get into a new routine.
I do my laundry in the mornings so that's all finished by bedtime. I eat at home twice per day, breakfast & supper. I'm supplementing.
