I can get behind modifying (even though it is a daily dose of humble pie)

I’m learning to find joy in consistency within doing the ā€œboringā€ work of recovery

I’m enjoying the creativity I’m finding within this sphere

But being okay with MONTHS of this AND having steps backwards 😣

Operation ā€œregain my shoulderā€ continues

The second C of recovery is consistency and while I actually LOVE this stretch I borderline distain most of the PT I’m doing (that’s a bit harsh, I know)

They aren’t fun, exciting, or glamorous and I ain’t gonna lie to you and say I’ve gotten EVERY exercise EVERY day

But I’m being consistent and I’m watching it improve

There are lots of things I can’t do right now BUUUUUT there are even MORE things I CAN do

Control what you can and be patient as you slowly add load and range to those areas that are recovering ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Finally starting to load that right side

Goal: I just want to get back to the rig. So. Bad.

But I’m trying to be patient and keep up with all my (boring) PT work, and also be grateful to be able to load it more and more

Tonight I tried to introduce a few new things, some of them (like this landline press) were a success, others (like dips) are still too much(don’t judge, I knew it was ambitious). I’m doing what I can.

If you are coming back from pain or injury, I get it and I’d love to walk with you through it. You aren’t alone ā¤ļø

First evening class in the books!

While we are rearranging our park fitness schedule so several of us ladies can serve at our church’s summer camps, we are using this time to test out evening classes.

SO, if you have ever wanted to join us but couldn’t because of work and would like to see evening classes added, NOWS THE TIME!

I bounce embarrassingly quick between these two themes:
1. I’m not enough
2. I’m too much

Not because those are true, but because I perceived them to be.

It took a LOT of years to undo these deeply imbedded beliefs and a LOT of people who loved me in spite of them

If you find yourself shrinking in a crowd of people because you can never measure up

Or is you are scared to open up because the darkness and feelings you keep locked inside are SO BIG

I can’t do the work for you, but I walk with you along the way

I will die on this hill: there is something about sweating and praying together

Come let yourself be seen and loved
