This team worked on a lot of goals at one time and rocked it! Working on inhibitory control, following instructions, and leadership skills while practicing emotional control with spontaneous changes to environment and of course, Duke’s carefree attitude! 😂 This session was also physically challenging for her and our student wanted to keep going to accomplish the session goal!!!

Personal growth, self-reflection, and self-assessment are essential when supporting others on their healing journey from trauma. Beginning each day with prayer and intentionally listening for areas within yourself that need growth can help cultivate a humble heart and keep your focus centered on God.

Matthew 6:6 states, “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”

God desires that we come to Him with authenticity and honesty—a heart that listens, is self-disciplined, and is open to being led to a quiet place where He can speak to us. He wants our prayers to be real and raw so that he can do the absolute best work in us.

In a busy world full of distractions, setting aside time each morning for prayer, reflection, and listening is crucial for keeping me centered and focused on personal growth, which I hope to share with others. This practice enables me to guide others more effectively through their journeys.

Thank you so much to Isabel Gray of Christians of Brevard for visiting us at Southern Strides and, more importantly, for truly listening to our story and the heart behind this ranch. Bittersweet post!
A few years ago, we were searching for a farrier to help Hollywood with a difficult issue. We needed someone who could coordinate with our vet, was knowledgeable about various new shoe options, and would be patient while assessing what was best for Hollywood, who was often in pain. Rich promptly responded to our message and came out to see how he could assist us. He spent years working with our herd and understanding their needs. He has always been incredibly patient and compassionate with each member of our herd, as well as the many rescues we've welcomed over the years. Additionally, Rich has been very generous in educating the youth at our barn, taking the time to answer all their questions. He became an essential member of our medical team that cares for our herd and truly a part of the Southern Strides family. While we are sad to see him go, we are also excited for him as he embarks on this new journey in his life.

Rich- our team, herd, and family are deeply grateful for everything you have done for us over the years, and we will certainly miss you. We wish you all the best on your new path!

Often in life, when we feel stuck and unable to move forward, it's because our minds have blown obstacles out of proportion due to fear, self-doubt, lack of confidence, negative narratives, being outside our comfort zones, mental or physical fatigue, unhealthy beliefs, and so on. In reality, we possess the strength, ability, and freedom to overcome any obstacle in our path if we can conquer the mental challenges and believe that we are stronger than what is holding us back.
