Sampson County Parks and Recreation would like to extend another huge THANK YOU to Coach Wiggins and the Lakewood High School Volleyball team and coaching staff for partnering with us for last night’s youth Volleyball camp out in Leopard Country!
These young athletes had an incredible opportunity to learn new skills, improve their game, and receive instruction directly from the Coaches and the Players in Lakewood.
Partnerships like this mean so much to our department and the communities we serve. Seeing high school athletes give their time, share their knowledge, and serve as positive role models for the next generation is what youth sports are all about!
Thank you again to Coach Wiggins, the Lakewood High School Volleyball team, Lakewood High School, and everyone who helped make this camp possible. We are grateful to have such outstanding partners helping us grow the game of Volleyball throughout Sampson County!

Our next School Partner Camp of the new school year is here!

Sampson County Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with the Lakewood High School Volleyball coaches and team for a FREE one-day Volleyball Skills Camp!

📅 TONIGHT SEPTEMBER 2nd
⏰ 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
📍 Lakewood High School Gym
🎓 Grades K–8
💲 COST: FREE!

This is a great opportunity for young athletes to get in the gym, work on their volleyball skills, and learn directly from the Lakewood High School volleyball program!

🏈🏐 UNION DISTRICT — REGISTRATION EXTENDED! 🏐🏈

We’re giving our Union District families a little more time to get in the game! Registration for select Fall Sports has been extended through Sunday, September 6!

The following programs are still accepting registrations:

* 🏈 4–6 Flag Football
* 🏈 7–9 Flag Football
* 🏐 7–9 Volleyball
* 🏐 10–12 Volleyball

📅 Practices will begin the week of September 7th, so don’t wait to get registered!

💲 Registration: $50
Scholarships are available for families in financial need. We want every child who wants to play to have that opportunity!

These young athletes had an incredible opportunity to learn new skills, improve their game, and receive instruction directly from the Coaches and the Players in Midway.

Sampson County Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with the Midway High School Football Team & Coaching Staff for a FREE one-day Rising Stars Football Camp!

🏐 13–15 VOLLEYBALL 🏐

Sampson County Parks & Recreation is looking at adding a 13–15 Year Old Girls Volleyball division this fall!

Registration will be handled through a WAITLIST while we determine if we have enough players interested to form teams. If your daughter wants to play, please join the waitlist! The more interest we receive, the better chance we have of making this division happen.

📅 Waitlist is open through September 20th
🏐 Ages 13–15 — Must be 13 before August 31st
💲 $50 registration fee if the league is formed
🎓 Scholarships are available for families in financial need.

Joining the waitlist helps us get an accurate player count, so don’t wait to show your interest!

🏈 10-13 FLAG FOOTBALL
13U Flag Football will be notified by next Monday about what’s next after registration is fully completed Sunday night.

🏐 VOLLEYBALL CLINICS
Our volleyball clinics will begin later in September, with dates expected to be finalized by early to mid-September. Stay tuned for more information!
