Chasing that perfect layout one shot at a time. Form is feeling smoother, but the grind never stops. Fellow bowlers—what's the one part of your approach you’re drilling down on right now? 👇 Let me know in the comments!

You can't just practice until you get it right—you have to practice until you can't get it wrong. Today was all about putting in the quiet hours and building muscle memory.

There’s nothing more satisfying than making an adjustment, locking in your target, and watching it pay off three times in a row. 🔥
Dialed things in today by moving 5 boards right, and the reaction on this new setup is exactly what I wanted to see.
To all my fellow bowlers out there: What's your go-to adjustment when the lanes start changing on you? Drop it in the comments! 👇🎳

League Recap: Progress & The Game 3 Puzzle! 🎳 Spent a ton of time working on my spare game recently, and it absolutely paid off last night! I was able to pick up way more than usual, including a brand new approach for locking down that frustrating 10-pin. 🎯
It all clicked in game two, where I put up a 187! Stoked with how the hard work is showing up on the scorecard.
The next big challenge? Game three. Once that oil starts moving down the deck and the lanes dry up, I’m still figuring out how to adjust. My ball started hitting light or missing the pocket entirely as the oil pattern shifted.
Anyone have tips for a no-thumb bowler transitioning into game three? Time to figure out the adjustments and keep the momentum going!

Once is luck, twice is a statement, three times is a pattern. 🎯
Sticking with the process, making the right adjustments, and trusting the no-thumb release to do what it's supposed to do. Leaving an open frame in the 9th just meant it was time to step up and strike out in the 10th to lock in another 209. No flukes here—just putting in the hours. 🎳💥

String Pin Bowling

What it is: Pins are attached to strings from the ceiling instead of free-standing. No pinsetters, just pulleys that reset them.

Why it’s trending:
Centers are converting to save money. String machines are 70% cheaper to run and don’t jam. AMF/Brunswick pushing it hard in 2026.

Why bowlers care:

1. Different carry - Strings can cause weird bounces. 10-pins that would fall free-standing sometimes get held up by the string. 7-10 splits are way rarer.

2. Controversy - USBC says scores average 8-12 pins lower vs free-fall. Pros hate it. Some leagues won’t sanction on strings.

3. It’s spreading - 30% of new centers in 2026 are string-only. You’ll bowl on it eventually.

Quick take:
If you’re serious about average/sanctioned scores, ask if your center is free-fall or string. If you just bowl for fun, you won’t notice much except fewer splits .

Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning results." — Robin Sharma 📈🎳
Trusting the release, trusting the process. Every practice session gets me one step closer!

06/06/2026

A perfect strike is pure addiction, especially when you roll one-handed and no-thumb. But you don't get that clean, pocket-crushing hook without throwing a few balls into the gutter first.
When the oil shifts and you lose your line, you don't walk away. You step back up, adjust, and hunt the pocket again.
Every missed shot is just practice for the next strike. Keep throwing, keep adjusting, and keep going.

How to Reset Between Shots in 10 Seconds

Bad shot happens. You’ve got 10 sec before it poisons the next one. Use this:

The 10-Second Reset - 3 Steps

1. Sec 0-3: Physical Dump
Turn around. Walk off approach. Hard exhale.
Why: Breaks state. If you stare at pins, you marinate in the miss.

2. Sec 3-7: Mental Flush
Say 1 phrase: “It’s gone” or “Next one”.
Then touch towel, ball, or rosin. Tactile resets brain.
Why: Gives your mind a job other than replaying the shot.

3. Sec 7-10: Rebuild
One cue only: “Slow feet” or “Post it”.
Grab ball, deep breath in.
Why: You can’t start next shot mad if you’re breathing in.

What NOT To Do in 10 Sec

1. Replay the shot: Analysis is for after game 3

2. Look at score: Adds pressure. You know you opened

3. Change your grip/stance: Panic adjustments = 2 opens in a row

Pro Tip: Same routine after strikes too. Treat good/bad shots identical.
Why: Keeps emotions flat. Flat = consistent.

Bottom line: Reset isn’t forgetting. It’s parking it fast so it doesn’t drive.

Use it on spares too. Miss a 10-pin? 10-sec reset before next ball or you’ll yank that one also.
