Some highlights from practice this Tuesday evening. Do-uchi seemed to be the theme. We learned that Trevor has a lightning-fast do-uch. Aaron finally hit hit a reasonable do-uchi or two.

Warriors never die, they become a hue of the sword.

Our heart goes out to the students of Ōtake Risuke Sensei, guardian and teacher of the Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō ryū.

It goes without saying that his model as a teacher and martial artist has deeply inspired all of us who follow a true path in Budō, regardless of discipline or tradition.

We are thankful that the many students of this cultural treasure will continue on preserving his work, and his spirit will illuminate for generations to come.
