Throughout the years I've had clients tell me how their size affects how other people treat them. I was sympathetic, but now I am empathetic. I can confirm this is true.

People are downright rude! I've lost track of how many random people in the gym make comments to my face such as "you've gained a lot of weight" or "Don't worry, your face is still beautiful, it's just your body that isn't" .... like where does this audacity come from?! Has nobody heard of metabolic dysfunction?!

Love yourself no matter what size BUT love yourself enough to change what isn't healthy.

This isn't a "woe is me" post. This is a "I also struggle with weight and we're in this health journey together" post. 💪

Clients often ask me what shoes to wear to the gym. You don't need an expensive lifting shoe, but you do need one with a barefoot feel and wide toebox.

This creates greater ankle stability, promotes better balance while lifting and is overall healthier for foot anatomy.

Most shoes are not made with a wide enough toe box to support foot anatomy, this alters your gait and can lead to surgeries down the road.

I highly recommend the brand "Whitin" from Amazon. They are affordable, durable and are great for the gym 🏋️‍♀️
